Default 3rd gear grind!! (Nissan of Apex, NC)

I have a problem when down shifting to third gear from 5th or 6th around 50-60 MPH. It grinds when going into third. I took my car to the dealer and they called me today and said the technician said the transmission is fine and that i shouldnt be downshifting to 3rd at 60 MPH anyway. I replied that its a freakin sports car and that it will do 90 in 3rd so downshifting to 60 shouldnt be a problem. No dice. They wont attempt to fix it. What do i do? I have 15K miles on the car and i have a warranty to 75K. I think im just gonna drive the **** out of it and continue downshifting when i like (within reason of course) and let them replace my tranny under warranty when it gives out.

They did offer to replace my front tires for the feathering issue and i didnt even report that problem!! Seems like they were more concerned with that than my tranny. I guess im getting new tires for free out of the deal, but that wasnt my concern to begin with. I didnt even report that!

Are you rev-matching when you downshift?

Btw, I'd read up on what could void your warranty.

You think the popcharger has something to do with this?

Revmatching doesnt matter, i can time the shift perfectly, or i can wait and let the revs fall then shift, it doesnt matter. It grinds.
