Any experience w/ Nissan Gold Preferred warranty?
I have about 600 miles left to decide whether to buy an extended warranty for my 350Z. (I'm at 35,400 right now....) A local dealer has offered me a 72mo./100K mile Nissan Gold Preferred warranty at cost ($1574).
That's a lot of money, but considering that I've already had my transmission, window motors, and throttle control actuator replaced, the potential benefits might be worth the cost. I do plan to keep the car well beyond 100K miles, provided it cooperates and doesn't become an unreliable beast...
Does anyone have any experience making claims on a Nissan-backed extended warranty? Any bad experiences (parts not covered/ denial of coverage)?
Should I go for this?
Thanks for your input!
Mika

I would rip his arm off before he changes his mind. I paid $2200 (w/taxes) for mine, and the car was brand new. Some people say it isnt worth it, but if you intend to keep the car "until the wheels fall off", like I do, that money bought me peace of mind.
How much is THAT worth?
