I don't know how, but those photos look to be more traditional and more futuristic than the eventual design, at the same time! But I'm glad it came out the way it did.

Oh and the first one looks like the new C6 vette.

Thanks for the post, porscheKliier.

I believe that most of those photos were early versions of the 1999 concept car. Also, I'm pretty sure I've seen them before- either in "Lust then Love" by Ron Sessions, or in an Autoweek Design Presentation- that was posted online about a year ago... anyway, still good stuff..

I am very glad they didn't go retro like the nose on that gold one. The last pic with the aggressive nose and blinkers on the fender flares looks great, haven't seen that before.

I'm glad the car looks nothing like those first few shots. Yuch.

I definitely like the way it looks now. Those first few pics looked too old school for me. (No offense to all those 240Z lovers out there.)

And, nbdyfcsnqnc-- you're right. It does look a little like the C6 (which I'm also a little disappointed with).

But thanks for the pics!!

no kidding! he's THE designer of today's z.

his initial concept was to have that wing be transparent plastic or something.

The last pic rocks. I wish they had gone with this hood and headlight setup. Our headlights are HUGE!
