Default Z33 GT versus M3 CSL.

In the new Road and Track, a side bar is dedicated to the 350z GT edition. I know the pics and specs have been out for some time, but the most interesting thing to me was the blurb about a U.S price of $75,000. They basically imply that if you have the money you can get one for domestic racing series. And we all know once you have one state-side, you can get it registered with plates. I mean i have seen ferrari modena challenges that arent supposed to be street legal, on the street!

And then the question arises, do you pay $75k next yr for a legal M3 lightweight edition, pumping 350 hp or a 450 hp, 2400lb, ILLEGAL Z33 GT.

But damn...Driving the Z33 GT would be so fun on regular roads.

I don't believe you will be able to purchase a M3 CSL stateside.

I am confused, what is your point?

The Z you refer to is a race car not a street car. The M3 cls is a street legal car that happens to handle well on the track but is not a race car. V8 M3 GT is a better comparison.

2 different beasts IMHO.
