I bought my Z for about 37000 euro (Z-Pack). 21% Taxes included.
But we also need to pay a Tax to put the car on the road, and that depends on the fiscal horsepower of the car, so in a Z-case thats 5000 euro more. And the anual tax is about 1250 euro.

I'm going to spend 3 weeks in the south of France this summer ( I'm from Toulouse but I did study in Paris) and I hope to see a couple of Z... I believe the rosadster is not available in France yet, is that correct ?

You are a brave man having a nice car in Paris, I have seen how people drive and specially park, I was always impressed when I saw brave soles driving Porsches around.

Congrats, you live in a great city and now have a great car.

loic> the roadster is available in september in france.

I would like to see the United States. I would visit them soon.

But unfortunately I could not go there in 350Z!!

French likes the United States, but considers it regrettable that their president think only of the money. Your president ridicules you with respect to the world! It is a pity very....

(sorry for my english... )

France is a beautiful country. I have been watching the coverage of the Tour de France the last 2 weeks and I would very much like to seen some of the countryside, rather than Paris. I've been to Paris 3 times and its an amazing city. I just wish the French people were a little more friendly in general. I often got the feeling that I was just not welcome in their country on my visits. I can't imagine driving a nice car around in the larger European cities, but driving around the countryside in France in a convertible must be a wonderful experience.

Ne te fait pas arrêter, mon ami! I think the French police would also put you into prison if they caught you at 147 miles/hr. And your 350 baby would get impounded. Or is it just us German tourists who get stopped by the French police all the time? When in Europe, to really speed without ticket fear, you need to hit the German Autobahn. But even that may change.

Yes, the 350Z is expensive in Europe... the real problem, however, are the gas prices. Gas in Germany is over three times more expensive than here in LA (Louisiana, that is). Since French drivers cross into Germany to fill up, it's probably even higher over there. Gas prices in Scandinavia are horrible, too.

Other expenses: There are a bunch of toll roads particularly in southern and southwestern Europe, but it's not too bad. Getting a driver's license in Europe is significantly more expensive than in the US, but insurance premiums are generally MUCH lower (no punitive damages and not a strong lawsuit culture). Parking is very expensive in metropolitan areas.

Sprmario: Yes, if you want to drive around in a breathtaking scenary, go to France and Switzerland. Choose Germany only for its Autobahn. Go to Italy for its beautiful people (but leave your Z at home!).

52.000 Euro's here for the Gran Turismo 4 Edition (35th Aniverary edition)... that translates into 70K in dollars or something?

Well, in most other places in the world, cars have all sorts of taxes applied to them. That's why for the most part it makes more sense to take taxis or public transportation. We Yanks have it pretty easy, all things considered.

Yeah i know a girl in Norway that just went to the WRC rally in sweeden and met Petter Solberg. The STis at where she worked where like 267hp and they were pushing 70,000. Forget it. I had some mob friends that would pull the numbers off of the cars and stick em on the new ones and keep the old licsence and call it good avoided the importation taxes. Skandinavia is highly expensive. But hey gas is only 6$ a gallon.

Since nobody has said it yet, Welcome to my350z.com Francois. Glad to have you here. It's always neat to hear about the Z experience in other countries!

Again, welcome!

I've been to Paris 3 times, even though I thought Parisians were somewhat rude, it's definitely a beautiful city. And it has some beautiful cars there. While I didn't see any 350Zs, I saw a few porches and one gorgeous Ferrari 575M driving down the Champs Elysees (sorry if I butchered that). Anyway, welcome to the forum man, hope you enjoy your Z!!
