I want to take over somebodys pre-order slot. This person(Mr.X) has already bought a Track, and does not want the Touring. I applied on peoplefirst, for the new car dealer loan, and got approved. The dealer will back out of the sale if 'I' write them the blankcheck from peoplefirst, because they can make more money selling at inflated price.
Is the only way out is for Mr X to get financing, buy the car, then sell it to me? The problem is that person-to-person sales on peoplefirst are for used cars and have a higher interest rate. Mr X is willing to give me a notarized letter with his intent to sell at the agreed price.
Has anyone here done this sort of transaction before?

You can always refinance it through peoplefirst, maybe you should talk to a loan counselor there. Make sure that the loan that you get from the dealer doesn't have any penalties for prepayment.
