ok. i dont know if maybe my style is just whack, but i think my car looks ok. i have never bragged about my car, i never put other people down about their cars (even though its not my style), and i have definately not blasted pics of my shiet all over the forums. when i put my first set of wheels on my car (work meister s1 3pc high polish) people told me my car and wheels were ugly (i have actual quotes from private messages and posts). i put my wheels up for sale and thats the reaction i got. then, i got my second set of wheels (gold work vs-xx) and am still receiving much hate. whats going on? is jdm no more? am i trippin? since there are many knowledgeable and friendly people in this forum, i would like some honest opinions (and reasons for their opinions). pics of my cars will be up in next posts...

Don't worry 'bout it, that's the internet..... There will always be someone who doen't like it and will go out of their way to let it be known. I am like you, If I think something is ugly, i'll just keep it to myself.

It's your car, it's your money, do what you want to do with it. As long as you're happy, you shouldn't care what others think. Heck, I know a lot of people that say they don't like the color LeMans Sunset, but I love mine to death.

Also, I plan to buy a 2003 BMW M5 in about 10 years (when I have extra cash and it's worth about $20k). I know for a fact people will tell me that it's an old pos and it was an awesome car "at its time." I frankly don't care. I love cars and will buy and do whatever I want with my money. In my case, just because a car is new, doesn't make it better. IMO, the Ferrari 355 is better than the 360 and the F50 is better than the Enzo. Sorry for getting off topic :P

From your syntax, grammar, etc, it seems that the reason people make fun of you so much is because the kind of people you talk to are stereotypical "thugs." Your car looks decent but I agree the rims look out of place. No huge complaints from me.

 

Im not a fan of the work meister rims however I love those Volks on your Z. Remember that its your car and you should care less about what anyone has to say about it. Its IMPOSSIBLE to satisfy everyone.

both sets are WORK wheels.

i love work wheels. the first set looks out of place, but the second set looks amazing. i also like how the single side exhaust looks. props man. is your car dropped? mod list?

 

I think some nice 13" rims would look better.

 

no hate for work wheels .... vs-xx one of my favs ..I dont see any threads hating on work wheels most people dont know this brand or see them as equals to volk's

thanks jun. i have custom y-pipe and hks titanium muffler w/ custom piping (thank ty [lbc trd]), hks hipermax coilover (dumped all the way...i wish i could go lower), wheels, jdm corners, 7" in-dash, ipod, and i have a vertex half kit coming arriving in about 1 week, and almost have a turbo kit (just need to work and save a couple weeks more). yea...13's would look pimp!

because they are pretty pricey. most people around here spend 500tops on wheels. i believe works go for around 700+. they are also pretty tough to get i hear?
coming from the e46 community, all you see on bmws is like 1k hre, iforge, dpr, etc.

 

are you on e46 fanatics? i see a lot of people going with vs-xx's, who have m3's. i personally like the bbs lm's gold (even though they are mad played) or the hre mesh wheels better for european cars. all that aside...e46=bada$$ ride. too bad our z33's arent a little faster (and too bad evo mr, sti, and srt4 could whoop all our asses stock).

You ask why people HATE you. From what you posted, people offered their opinions about the wheels, which doesn't equate to hating you. Maybe you left something out...

 

hmmm...i think i wrote things incorrectly. this is the response i got from someone; "damn that is ugly. youre f@cking whack...no one is going to buy those..." ???, im whack, is my car whack, what? maybe i should have said "people hate my car...y?" sorry for the misuse of words...didnt think before starting this thread...i was just a little riled up...

edit: people dont hate me, they hate my car...(or rather, they hate the way my car looks after i modify it)
