Unhappy what to buy???

I really love everything about the z... im super stuck tho on what i will buy. There are so many choises out there.... The other car i am looking at is a GTI VR6. Yes i know they are in 2 different classes but i mean for the difference you pay between the two, you can make the Gti insane... I need some convincing that the z is a better buy than the Vr6. The gti would be a lot cheaper to mod to get as good performance, but the Z alrady has the look and some power. I want Turbo!!! how much does that go for on the Z? No matter what car i get i will want to mod. Now if i get the Z it will take me longer to save up for those mods

PLZ help

In my experience of modding a less expensive car to get with the big boys, it is frustrating. Get the best car you can upfront to start with a better foundation. Don't build a mansion on a foundation designed for a bungalow . . .

I currently have a Celica GT-S and kick myself I did not get the Z (next summer!) While I can mod the Celica to get to where a Z is, I could have simplified my life and bought more performance out of the box.

While a more expensive car leaves less cash for mods, you won't need to go as extreme as you would with a more economic choice.

Of course, all this is moot if you get your joy from taking a "lesser performing car" to crazy perfromance levels.

Default VR6 or 350z

I was in ur shoe prior to the purchase of my Z. i was considering about the R32 or the Z, but i gotta wait for long a$$ time for the R32.. plus R32 is too heavy.... but i think the car itself looks very good! hurry up and make up ur decision, cuz the new Golf/GTI is comming out, i think it is not as good looking as the model now..

IMO, if you are considering about moddin ur car, Jap car is the way to go.. i just think European car cost too much to mod..

P.S. VR6 is the one higer then the 1.8 T, and below R32, it has 200 hrsp.

The Z is clearly more car than the VR6 or the R32, but it sounds like you already know that. However, since you are looking to mod right off the bat, there is a huge after market for Volkswagon that has been around for over 20 years. I test drove a European spec VR6 and it was a quick car, but it lacked the eyeball sucking factor that I wanted.

I personally think the R32 is way over priced for the car that you get, even with the all wheel drive. If I wanted all wheel drive and a FI car, I would look at the WRX STI or the Evo. You should also be aware that a totally redesigned Golf (supposed to be more performance oriented) comes out this spring which may be worth waiting for especially since the current model Golf suffers from severe reliability problems.

i raced a r32 the other day, they are quick for what they are, but if ur gonna spend this type of money on a car u should go with the best, and i honestly feel the z is the best in its catagory, and no i dont think the evo or sti are in our catagory they are 4 door ******!
