Default how fast have you taken 90 degree turns?

be safe guys and don't go do anything stupid, but just curious for any of you that have kept track how fast have you done a 90 turn just on regular roads?

I've done somewhere in the 35mph range with a stock enthusiast.

I haven't really tried pushing the limit or anything - haven't been to a skidplate yet so i'm not going to risk anything stupid on the streets.

On a side note, my friend says his slightly modded F-150 truck can take 90 degree turns at 30-35mph. That seems like BS to me, but maybe i'm wrong. I've never driven an F-150

Between 30 and 35 - dont think it is too great on certain parts - so dont do it too often. I dont think cars are really designed for that kind of action - even though they will do it. I have an itersection going to work that is 3 lanes each direction and I turn left onto a 2 lane in each directtion - and i will sometimes do better than 40 to 45 on the swing. (without ever touching the brakes). Must look quite interesting to anyone stopped at the lights on my left or right - never a hint of side movement in the 350 !

How fast you can do a 90 degree depends a lot on how much road you can use, which is a huge variable.

I've driven enough f150s to know that the Z will absolutely destroy it at handling. No contest.

yes, if you have enough room to make a nice racing line, 35 is a breaze.

normally I go 30-35...any faster is a bit dangerous since LA roads are not very perfect....

Funny you asked. I have a personal best that I try top top every once in a while when I get a clean intersection. Comming home from work, the off ramp off of a major hwy dumps me onto a two lane road. I try to push the envelope every once in a while. My personal best so far is 57 mph at making a perfect 90 degree angle. The Z still rides flat but theres alot of rear wheel hop. And I also noticed you cant power out of the wheel hop.

Dio, your avatar is a scary ****.

That being said, I like taking 45 degree turns 10x better (and 2x faster). Have you ever turned your wheels all the way to the right or left while washing your car. The camber (tilt?) on them in scary, I feel like at that angle, it'd rip the wheel straight off going superfast.

Basically the same here, enter at 35-40, exit at 40-45.

90 degree turns at 95mph is impossible

anyhow...i tried it at 40-45 once and the road had a lot of bumps so the car didnt stay planted and it oversteered alot but then i gained control

wont do it again unless there are smooth roads

I did several 40+ mph 90* turns....it's fun every now and then to have the rear end kick out.
