Beware parking next to curbs and backing out later.
Why does this always happen when you get a new car? Must be the new car jitters, getting used to it and all. I was parked in a corner lot next to a curb (like I'm sure a lot of us do, then at least one door won't get dinged). When I backed out later I cut the turn without realizing that I was next to the curb and started to climb up it. I was ready to kill myself. Fortunately I didn't scuff the wheel, but I gave myself a scare.
Just thought I'd remind you all so none of you do the same thing. Now do like my brother and say you'd never do anything so stupid

Hehe. I'm not so little. I'm 42 and should definately know better, but there is something about a new car that makes you goofy.
Sorry you scuffed your wheel. I don't know how I managed not to.
I'm looking to get an upgraded set of tires and wheels. I'll try to get the tires to stick outside the wheels a bit. The current trend to have the wheels flush with the tires is asking for trouble. A couple of years ago the trend went to the wheels sticking out past the tires, at least from what I saw when living in Wichita, Kansas. That trend didn't last long
