Default Tire Mix-Up

My dealer rotated the tires on my 350z...front to back. Now I have 245s up front now, and 225s in the rear. Other then getting laughed at, what else can happen in terms of accidents or damage?

Assuming you're not out there pushing the car towards it's handling limits with this configuration, you probably aren't in any danger from a handling perspective. If you have VDC, this may cause funny behavior, but I'm not sure about that.

It is frickin' ridiculous that a Nissan DEALERSHIP would do something like this. I'm now firmly convinced that Nissan service is the @$$hole of the automotive service industry.

Now that is some funny sh*t. At least my dealer knows not to rotate Z tires.

There are specific bolts to prevent this from happening, I can't imagine the dealer removed them to mount the rears on the front axle!

1) Your VDC computer might do odd stuff, applying brakes to wheels when it shouldn't. In extreme situations, this could cause unexpected loss of control.
2) The car will look funny.

You need to do two things:

1) Get your car back to the dealership ASAP & make them fix this ASAP, on your schedule not theirs, making sure that they bow and scrape and make it very obvious that they understand and fully admit that they screwed up royally and it will never happen again for any 350Z in their shop now or in the future.

2) If item #1 does not happen with their complete and total admission that they screwed up royally, call the Nissan 800 number and open a complaint.

Those yahoos desperately need to learn a lesson and it is your responsibility to teach it to them.

Thanx for all the info. I went to the dealership gave them **** and now I've got brand new seats, a steering wheel, the whole head light fixture, and the list goes on. Oh, yeah they gave me new tires to boot.
