I bought my car used and found it that has been in an accident which involved scraping of the undercarriage.

I was just wondering, if the bolts that connect the cats to the Y pipe has nuts on all the three ends, because it seems like the bolt doesn't stick out on some of them, and the ones that stick out past the flange has nuts on them.

I dont smell anything funny or hear any wierd noises like a raspiness.

Any help would be appreicated.

 

y-pipe to cat? on the cats there are 2 studs sticking out... those studs go into the y-pipe flange and there are 2 nuts holding on to the studs... so there will be no hex bolt pattern on the studs in the cat...

 

Sorry I worded the question wrong.

I meant from the head to cat.

I think there's a triangle flange and 3 bolts for each.

But I dont see the bolt ends stick out on some of the bolts. it looks like it just when in and stopped at the end of the flange.
