Default Sell my Z??

My wife just had our first born baby girl (3 weeks), and I'm really thinking of trading my Z for something more appropriate for the family with performance of course(still undecided on this one.)

Anyways, I was at Starbucks the other and I noticed a lady in her late 30's eyeing my car. Literally gawking at my Brick. She asked me what dealer I bought it from and what color is that. I told her its first year production only. She asked me if I have plans of selling her soon. I said maybe but not yet. She gave me her number and she asked for mine. A day later she called and offered me 27,500 based on KKB. "I really want that color." and she sounded so serious about it. I said I'll think it over. Today she called again and said, final offer 28,500.

Question, should I jump on it? My car is Touring with nav, 12000 miles, auto, with few mods. I haven't got a clue on what to replace her with. Need help guys. Thanks

It really depends on what else you have to drive. I have a son (older than your daughter), and I bought my Z about 5 months ago. I kept my Ford Probe for winter driving/commuter car, and my wife drives a Mitsubishi Montero, so having a 2-seater wasn't a confinement for us.

So if you've got a family car and having a 2-seater doesn't present a problem, keep the Z. If it's your only car, of course get rid of it, it's of no use to you. Remember that in a year or so (I forget exactly), you can turn your daughters car seat around, and with the simple installation of an on/off switch, you can take your daughter for rides in the Z!

Just do what makes sense!

I'll agree with Ruhtra get the new TL or the G35 Coupe or even Audi S4. I love my Z and would never get rid of it unless I really had to, must be a really hard decision you have to make.

Responsibility, like most other things, is relative.

For me, buying a Z is the responsible thing to do. You may ask "WTF are you talking about Old Man?!? You are 49 and have one y/o and three y/o daughters!!!"

I reply: "Grasshopper, I'm ditching my Kaw 636 track bike for a Z. Even my wife, the safety ****, thinks I'm being responsible."

But Z8M, seriously, sell it only if you really want to -- just make sure you don't sell it b/c b/c of some ambiguous concern about maturity and appearances. It may be very difficult to get a sports car again if you bail out now, depending on what you wife is like.

And if any of you squids have a 350z Track Model to sell cheap, PM me!
