I did a quick search and couldn't find anything, so apologies if this is the millionth time someone has asked this.
I thought I saw somewhere on this site that you could look up your car's status if you had the VIN. Is that true? I finally got a VIN from my dealership today. They are telling me delivery in the first or second week of November.

I don't think you can look up the status, the only thing you can do is check the nissan's web site to see if the VIN is in the dealer's inventory. good luck.

From what I can tell, there is a poor correlation between when the VIN hits the nissan website, and how long until your car actually is delivered to the dealer. Some people have mentioned that their cars were delivered, yet no VIN ever appeared on the site. I don't know if my dealer has my VIN or not, but I have done all my information gathering through NNA. They actually called me to give me my VIN and tell me the day my car was loaded on the boat in Japan, the day the boat will arrive at my port (Norfolk), and when it should leave the port for shipment to my dealer (2 days in customs + port installations). The only information they couldn't give me was how long it would take the truck to get to Northern Virginia.
Long story short = try giving NNA a call and see if they can be more informative (1-800-NISSAN1).
