Latest Nissan Answer on '04 Featheriing
Feathering was noted on my '04 Touring Roadster when I took it in very recently for its 7,500 mile maintenance.
The Virginia dealer indicated he would contact Nissan in California to determine the company's position.
The dealer called me back two days later and told me to bring the car in and they would:
1. Demount and remount the tires on the wheels opposite each other.
2. They would realign the wheels.
3. Both of the above HAD TO BE COMPLETED before the Z reached 12,000 miles.
I have no idea what magic there is in that 12,000 mile figure, but I will comply. If that fix doesn't work, I'll probably have to go to the mat.

No that's not the tire companys warranty that is Nissan's warranty on alignment. They only cover alignment for the first 12,000 miles, after that it will be your responsibility. For the record I think that most other car manufacturers are also 12,000 miles for alignment. I could be wrong on that but I think most are.
