For all of you who've received you cars -

If you have any problems/complaints with your Z, how about briefly stating the nature of your problem(s) and indicate the date of manufacture of your car. If you have not noticed any problems whatsoever, perhaps you could also state so, and indicate your car's DOM.

Common problems so far seem to be shifter vibration, orange peel, overly bouncy suspension, the Bose problem, premature wear of cloth upholstery, etc.

As time passes, this thread might provide some indirect evidence as to whether early problems are being resolved promptly by Nissan as production progresses. It might also help those of us who haven't ordered yet decide whether to order now or wait for the next model year.

To increase the usefulness of this thread, it would be good idea to limit your responses to a line or two and leave any detailed discussion of your specific problems to their respective threads.

Mine is VIN # 20xx and I have noticed the following issues:

- BOSE problems.
- Bouncy suspension.
- Some orange peel.
- Ridiculous amount of road noise from the rear tires kicking up rocks into the wheel wells.
- The NAV system voice is too loud, even when lowered all the way down.
- Condensation in the headlights sometimes.

 

I'm in the 2000 range, and have only one issue: the condensation in the headlamp lens.

(And one minor gripe - the oil dipstick is a pain in the *** to pull).

I also noticed the kicked-up rock noise from the rear tires, but it doesn't seem to be a problem, per se.
