Nice job by SportZ and our esteemed author and event organizer Andy. Thanks to SportZ for all they do for the z community.
Can't wait till next year to go to the Dragon and Fontana again (so I guess we'll see you in October!).
Thanks again to everyone who participated- it was great and should be even better next year. Thanks again Andy and Morris.

Christi (and anyone else who missed ZDayZ 2004:
No excuses next year... if you're sorry you missed it this year, plan now to attend next year. We've already staked our claim on Fontana Village. ZDayZ 2005 will again be the weekend prior to Memorial Day. I don't recall the exact dates, but I think that is May 20-22.
And thank you again, everyone, for the kind words about the first ZDayZ... that, more than anything else, is driving me to do it again and to try to exceed what we accomplished this year. It really is a lot of work, but knowing everyone had such a great time makes it all worthwhile for me!
BTW, if anyone wants to 'volunteer' some help, feel free to contact me. Heavy planning will begin late September as we begin to seek out sponsors and develop our logo/ads/etc.

Hate to ask what may sound like a dumb question but what exactly was ZDayZ? Since you guys are in Tn, maybe it's not far from Atlanta and something I can join in on next year.

This is the thread for ZdayZ- basically a gathering of Z cars at Fontana Village at Fontana Dam in North Carolina (about an hour from Knoxville) and a chance to drive the Tail of the Dragon (11 miles, 318 turns) and a car show. Also, seminars on Z related products like ZAINO (thanks Dr. Bonz). Andy (mcduck) Morris and Morris Morgan put this together. Cars from as far away as Detroit attended, and SportZ covered the event. There were about 75 Z cars there, and next year's event should be even bigger. One of the best Z car events I've ever attended.

This is from our club (Middle Tennessee Z Club, Nashville)website regarding another trip to Fontana the first weekend in October, 2004.
Not sure about room availability at this point.
October 1-3- Back to Fontana Village, NC to Conquer the Dragon!
Andy Morris, who set up ZDayZ at Tail of the Dragon, has helped set another Z gathering at Fontana Village in western North Carolina for the weekend of October 1-3 (Friday-Sunday). Fontana is about 240 miles from Nashville, just to the southeast of Knoxville.
This will be an informal gathering, with the objective to drive the roads, hang out and have FUN! There will not be a car show or any group dinners (maybe a cookout), but we will have plenty of time to enjoy our Zs, the beautiful area and the challenging roads that makes this trip so great.
For info on the Tail of the Dragon (an unbelievable 11 miles and 318 turns of fun!) see www.tailofthedragon.com
For reservations at the Fontana Village Resort at Fontana Dam, call 800-849-2258.
Their website is www.fontanavillage.com for accomodations, pictures and other information. They will be offering a discounted rate like last time, so make sure you mention that you are with the "Z car group" when you call. The NORMAL fall rates start at $79.

Looking forward to joining you all in October, I will be comming down on Friday (will take most of the day from what I've been told), but will be willing to help with whatever is needed.

On a related note, I'm working with Bini2 to set up the ZDayZ website. I'm hoping within the next month or so to be able to share a URL that will have more information and pics from the 2004 ZDayZ and the upcoming 2005 ZDayZ.
