But this has me even more confused the STI is #12 and WRX #3 so they consider the wrx better than the STI? And the skyline R-34 is #37? This stuff befuddles me

CIVIC???!!! CMONNNNNNNNNNnn... Wow... civic got second... errr we are talking stock here right??? There is no point in mentioning this list. I am not bashing it because the 350 isnt #1 or something, but cmon civic in second?? and the sti lower than the wrx. Is this by price??? Then civic would be first...

Weird list . . . Evo 8, yeah sure I'll take that I guess, I would have placed a few cars in some different spots. Oh, and I would have gotten rid of the civic all together. Unless Honda released some turbo version we dont know about then I can't understand. And as for the comment about being able to understand that because it gets a lot of people into the sport, I'd agree. Getting people into the sport doesn't make it a good care though, influential yes, second best sports coupe, not at all.
I don't think it was about performance. Rather, I think they were taking into consideration the vehicles impact on the marketplace and the culture. Since the Skylines (and Silvias) never made it to U.S. soil, they would obviously have less influence, and be placed lower on the list. Since they said the Civic was basically responsible for starting the import craze, they gave it serious points.
That is just about the only thing that would make sense to me.
Who knows? How a VW got #5 is beyond me. But, the #2 Civic is by far the biggest indication this has nothing to do with performance.
Who cares what SCC thinks anyway?

I actually agree with a lot of the list, especially #2 (zips up flame suit). If it was not for the 92 civic and all the money thrown into those cars, the import scene would have never happened.
Yeah theres tons of shitty products from the likes of APC and Street Glo, but it all perpetuates the industry. You may not want to admit it, but you can thank the 92 Civic for paving the way. Every single import drag event in the 90's was dominated by these civics. Like them or not, they're the reason this whole scene exploded.
I also don't have a problem with the Mitsu being #1. If I was 19 again, I would think this was the greatest car every made. So would you.
Okay, now feel free to give me ****.
