Default Z owners who have NO tire feathering check in here

There's a theory that the tire feathering problem is blown out of proportion because only Z owners who have problems will post about it.

Well, I'm curious to see how many Z owners DON'T have tire feathering problems.

Please state the year of your Z and your mileage. Thank you.

2004.5 roadster. 4400 miles. No hint of feathering, and I've been keeping a close eye on tire wear.

What would be helpful is a format...

Year (and month if known, maybe even factory)
Model (trim - Coupe/Roadster & Base/Enth/Perf/Touring)
Mileage

Also maybe a minimum mileage, as BENJ-AMG posted, "2004.5 Enthusiast with 2100 miles. No feathering at all." -which I suppose is good to know, but I don't think the cars with feathering experienced it within 2,100 miles (mine was at 9,500 miles).

Also, not everyone knows what feathering is (let's not assume), so a quick link to a page/thread that explains it, plus maybe the addition of the symtoms (pictures and descriptions of the tread wear, the tire growl, etc.) would help.

No feathering ...

2003 Track
1 year on tires with 24,000 miles.

The rear tires need replacement, they have about 5 or 6k left in them, the fronts still look good.

Thumbs up 2004 Z 4,200 alignment results

I think this issue involves more than visually looking at the tires for wear. Majority of ppl don't properly maintain air pressure and alignments and wait until they hear the "roaring" which is too late.

I suggest for everyone to bring their Z in to an alignment and get the print out. I'm curious to see the specs from the first alignments of 04 models.

**Suggestion:
Make copies of the Z service data specs from your service manual and give to them BEFORE they start. The alignment machine I had they didnt have any of the Z models in the computer for the specs. In fact, he tried to use a 1996 300zx as the service data which is a COMPLETELY different car. He could have at least used the G35....ugh..

(you can't get quality service anywhere)
-------------------------------
350z Touring-6 sp
prod date 2/2004
alignment @4,200 miles
now has 5200 miles.
90% surface 10% freeway driving
------------------------------
Alignment results @ 4200 miles
left front camber out
left front caster out
left rear camber out
*front toe IN SPEC (0.06, 0.08)

Ironically, my largest concern for the front toe was the only thing in spec.

I need to find out what the rear toe spec angle is from the factory, not the mm distance.
--------------------------------

I will be having an additional alignment again at 10,000 miles and continue to visually inspect the wear.
