Thumbs up had interview "survey with nissan reps today"

met with two guys from japan today to discuss my thoughts on the car as several others on this forum will be doing shortly.

am happy to say they were genurally interested on are opinions on this car.

bassicly they wanted to know thoughts on the

exterior styling
interior styling
preformance
expectations
pre order program

i told them i was verry happy with the exterior styling but did mention the flismy fitting gas cover. other then that i liked it

i told them the interior styling was good but could use some minor fixes like a better nav door prehaps cleaner fit and easier to close. also mentioned the flimsy carpeting

preformance met my expectations and was very happy to here from them that they are planning future models but wouldent elaborate.
they ask my other car choices i mentioned the porsche boxster and how it was a ripoff compared to the z,s pricing.

told them i loved the suspension and handling.
compared this car to two pony cars which i ripped on big time and wassent banned for it ether go figure jay

as for expectations all were met i made a point to emphasis the stereo and all its flaws "volume control bass" ??amp??
also said in the future a interior package would be nice.

aluminum cover for radio prehaps a z emblem on the nav door ect.

there pre order program well i feel NY WAS BUTT ****ED and i told them we had no acess to the car at the auto show yet other places like texas did i was very atimate in telling them my disapointment in having to beg to see a car i PREORDERED.

i was lucky and got in but many did not. if theres one think that they should fix in a future preorder program this is it i said.

i also mentioned some better color swatches would have been nice. well thats it i know archduke heading there too.
so we shall see what his recommendations where

I did the survey at Smithtown Nissan today. I mentioned the NAV door, volume controls on the steering wheel would be a nice additions. The center console could be higher so your arm can rest while shifting. Cheap drink holder in front, lacking cig plug up front, front glove box. Noisy seat belts that have to be hooked in every time a passenger gets out. Poor placement of center drink holders.

Exterior:
Remove antenna from fender, but on roof like BMW. Paint has orange peel. More HP. Clear font reflector to match rear ones.

That was about it.

Got $108.50 service credit, not bad and I enjoyed telling them about my impressions. Overall I said the car was awesome for the price and nothing out there compares to it either.

i did the survey last week. He asked the saem question as you got. The funny thing about this guy was that said he drove 2 Z's from LA to Chicago. One was an enthus, the other a track. The guy is telling me that the track has a much stiffer suspension than the enthus and that the car is "undriveable" with such a stiff suspension!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHHAHAHAHA....whatever buddy. Your nothing more than a analyst(sp)...[ no offense to analyst]

I got that call, but they asked if I wanted to talk to a Nissan rep about the sales experience, not really about the car. I declined. Talking about the sales experience didn't interest me. Did I screw up?
