Just got back from the Nissan dealership. I decided to drive the manual 6 speed V-6 to see how it shifts. I drove a 2002 maxima and although it only has 250 hp it did shift smooth with lots of pep. Can't wait to get my 350Z with an extra 50 hp to play with. Nothing like that new car smell
This is one of my current toys but I think it will be collecting a bit of dust when my 350Z gets here. I still think the aero pkg will grow on us once we get use to seeing it. I'm stuck with mine now so it will have to grow on me

I got the Aero package although I wasn't sure at first for the same reason that the pictures don't tell much, but it is growing on me and also after seeing the Z at the autoshow and seeing that pictures don't do the car justice I figured the same might be with the aero package.
Also, the wing or aero package is an issue of personal taste in whether you want to make it look like it's steroids with the big wing and/or front spoiler or if you want the sleek more refined original look which I prefer, the car looks great and adding all the bolton aero packages will just take away from it IMO.

Nice Busa Westpak,
That thing has all the straight line power anyone could ever want. I tend to do lots of curvy road riding so I just love my R1 for that stuff. Wheelies are pretty easy also
Stay safe out there buddy.

I ordered the aero package. I've always liked subtle enhancements such as spoilers and groud effect kits (nothing over the top...keep it subtle). For instance the new M3's have a sweet little rear spoiler. The Z32 TT before '96 or so had a nice rear spoiler which certainly set it apart from the stock Z (didn't care much for the spoiler on the '96 TT though).
I must admit it was a hard decision to make when I ordered having seen the pictures on Nissans site. But, (and I think it's been said) after seeing the car for myself at the auto show the pictures on the web don't do the car justice. So my hope is the same will apply to the areo package.

Yeah, I love my Busa for its raw power and vicious speeds. That's why it's in the world book of record for the quickest and fastest production bike on the planet.
R1's are awesome too--very agile and quick. Wheelies on a Busa is a thousand times harder, if one could even do it. I haven't even tried it. That damn thing is as heavy as a tank. R1's are pretty cool. But my Busa gets more attention than a blonde running naked on the streets. People keep asking what that Japanese word means. I even have a matching helmet with the Japanese word on it...custom-made...VERY COOL!!!

i like what it looks like, so i won't put the aero package on.
and cuz i think the shape of the car is so good u shouldn't put anything on to it to change the shape...at least that's my thought.

I plan on putting a "Supra Turbo" type wing on it. This should greatly improve the downforce when I hit 250 mph.
Ha, NOT!
No wings, blings, or other things.
Car looks great on it's own

ME ME ME ME....ok maybe not.
I will be interested to see if any of the car tests see a performance
difference with the aero kit and it's "near zero lift" effect. I went
with the Track package, so it wasn't a choice. That said, I like it.
If Nismo were to come out with a kit like the Mazdaspeed kit for
the 93+ RX-7, I might consider it. (For those that might not know,
the Mazdaspeed kit was actually wind tunnel tested for better
aerodynamics IIRC...haven't heard what the true benefits were)
The crazy side of me might be interested in a kit based off a JGTC
version of the car, if one is ever made...

I have to say, body kits are nice, they can really change or enhance the look of a car. My only problem with them is that I live in a world with potholes and driveways. There's nothing worse than watching a nice car pull into or out of a driveway and hear a loude "SCRAPE." Oh. Don't forget sidewalks or parking bumps.
As it is, I occasionally hit things in my stock Accord.
Finally, the aero advantages I think would only become apparent at full out, ***** to the wall, wide open throttle driving, on a nice track. Most people probably don't do this. If you do, lucky you.

Andrew,
I completely understand about the scraping. Here in Austin, the road designers seem to believe that all parking lot entrances need to have a huge dip. It is so ridiculous on some, that even going in at an angle on a stock height sedan, scraping is guaranteed. Not to mention some hideous parking lot speed bumps.

to overcome the body kit scraping problem, someone needs to design a system like the new Lambo has. The nose raises 2-3 inches to get over speed bumbs. maybe a plug and play hydralic system.

I'm getting the spoliers with the Track edition so there's no choice to be made. I agree with SKiDaZZLe though. Zero lift without the rice look is fine with me.
