Default My Appologies......

If I snub you while driving. I've had my Z now for almost 3 months, purchased in Northern Virginia. Everytime I pass a Z, there's a wave or a thumbs up, or something.

I've recently moved to Georgia, and I get nothing! What gives? I've been snubbed at least 20 times now, and I'm just giving up. Anyone else notice this? and if so, where do you live. Just curious where the "snubbing" zones are.

I thought our community was above that. Oh well, still love my car.

kcobean: Hope you got your kit installed without any problems. If so, post some pics! I'd love to see it.

I say I get snubbed about half the time. Everytime I get snubbed it is by female drivers of the Z. I have no idea why...

Default Snubbed

Ya, I get this too (or lack there of).

I had a Jeep Wrangler before the Z and I'd say 95% of the Jeeps I passed there was a courtesy wave. But with the Z I've only gotten that wave a few times.

I wave when I pass, but that is probably still the Jeep in me. I do notice that it isn't just the women doing the snubbing, guys are just as bad.

Nissan marketed our Fairladies too well, so there are lots of owners out there that don't understand the legacy. But don't lose heart; in general people are less sociable these days anyway.

Kcobean already had the kit installed... if you go to the next page you will see his post and it has pics inside. Looks great too!!

BTW, there was a thread on this a while back and it was the same thing. It seems that we always see the mean Z drivers and they just stick up there nose... They just don't get it. I have only been waved to once out of maybe 20 times....

Your not doing the proper greeting in Ga. You gotta pull out the shotgun and fire into the air while waving the confederate flag. Then they'll wave back at ya.

What? You never told me you moved to Georgia? Talk about being snubbed!! .

If you got friendly responses from other Z drivers around NoVA, you're lucky. I find most Z drivers couldn't give two ***** about other Z owners. They just bought the car, they're not part of 'the community'.

Anyway, yep the kit is on. I'm very happy with the results. See my sig, or this post for pics:

with one hand on the shifter and it being such a small car, sometimes i don't have a spare wave to dish out, even though i want to. Sometimes I nod and smile.

Ok, well, if no one else is giving up, then I guess I shouldn't either, on the slight chance that we'll meet. I'd hate to take part in a "Double Dog Snub"! haha

kcobean, sorry bout sliding out the back way. It was VERY short notice. Job stuff. I'm back in town for Saturday, then back on the road Sunday. Your kit looks GREAT! Now I'VE got to get some plastic surgery! Still looking at the Ings+1 kit but yours is definately (hmmmmmm....searching for a hip, cool phrase)....Off Da Hook!

Take care everybody.

I only wave at Z / G owners with some sort of mod. This way I know they probably know something about the car. I put the 350GT emblem on to distinguish myself.

I'm sure you can reassemble that sentence for us "word guy".

The only Z that waved back at me so far is JoshTreeFity before I met him. He was grinning and waving like a wild man

"I only wave at Z / G owners with some sort of mod."

At first that sounds kinda stupid, but that's not really stupid at all. I wouldn't blame you for not waving at me. I waved at a few people, and after they rolled their eyes and put their noses up in the air, I said to hell with that idea. I have never once been waved to by another Z driver. My car has about 9k miles on it and it's still stock. I have many reasons for waiting before making modifications. If someone waved to me, I would wave back. That is, if I got over the initial shock fast enough to wave back...

From what I have noticed, some generalizations:

The average Z driver:
A: Can't drive to save his life.
B: Doesn't know much about the Z or cars in general.
C: Gets jealous when he constantly sees someone else in his car, stealing all of his glory.

The enthusiast Z driver:
A: Can at least halfway drive.
B: Knows a decent amount about Z's and cars in general.
C: Loves to see other people in the same car.

I know which one I am. I don't need to wave at people or get waved at to know it.

I live in NY, Long Island, the birthplace of road rage and impatient rude people , but most Z's i see on the road give a wave or a nod when i pass by, i wave back right before i cut them off. J/K.

Right now I'm in Cumming. That's pretty close to Buford isn't it.
