Default New Tranny in!!!

Well, the new tranny is in and it looks like for the moment things are good. I could not get the grinding sound to reproduce itself in about 30-40 minutes of driving. They also put in new clutch, clutch cover, and bushings/bearings, but did not put in a new flywheel because the one that was shipped to them looked damaged and after inspecting the one that was in there it was deemed to be OK. Team Nissan in Oxnard Ca. was great. Dropped the car off at 8:30 am yesterday and it was done by 3pm today. Hopefully the problem is gone!

ditto that, hopefully there isnt a "miata clutch shudder" happening to our Z's, it affected all 2001 miata's and some 2002s ( if u wanna know what i am talking about, go to miata.net anf search the forums for "clutch shudder")

How would you rate Oxnards overall service department? Have you tried any other Nissan dealership? I am looking for a good Dealer for my Z and wifes Pathfinder. We have been to two others in the Conejo Valley and were not happy. Thanks

Now you have to break in the clutch all over again... hopefully it won't cause you to miss any track events.
