Default Whose other Z pulls to the right?

Nizl and I have the same problem with pulling to the right on the freeway. I tried to convince us that this was due to the natural rake of the freeways designed to assist in water runoff.

But as my honeymoon period with the Z draws to an end, I am letting previously unnoticed things get to me. And in reflecting upon my last 10 cars, I do not remember this much pulling to the right on freeways th t I have been on all my life.

SO..whose car is pulling? Please say NO if its not.

Also, may I ask also about creaking (like a strut maybe) when pulling into a drive way and experiencing body roll?

Don't mean to insult your knowledge, but i'm guessing you checked the obvious.

1. Tire pressures.
2. Alignment.
3. Also low profile tires tend to track teh road a bit more (bumps grooves in pavement, etc).

Well, good luck finding the problem.

Mine doesn't pull at all except straight forward. I have a Tahoe that pulls right despite allignments, etc so I know it can be aggrevating.

our's pulled to the right even on the left side of the crown for the first 1000 miles or so. We tried to get the alignment, but Nissan didn't have the equipment. When they finally get the equipment in, the realize car no longer drifts to the right.
Everything is "the same": tire pressure and same road.

go figure...

I'd say wait till your first oil change and see what's happening by then.

I just recieved mine last week and its starting to pull to the right. I too thought it was the slope in the road but it does it all the time. It doesn't pull drastically to the right it just drifts to the right. My '98 240sx never had a wheel alignment and it always drove straight. I am still happy with my car though!

Default They don't know....

My car has been pulling to the right since day one. I finally got them to do an alignment (with the 18's they needed adapter pieces to actually do the alignment), and even though my alignment had been off a little, when fixed it still pulled to the right. My dealer, unsure as to what the problem is with a good alignment (and yes, tire pressure has been consistently checked), has ordered me two new front tires - they believe my tires may be at fault, and are gonna replace them. If that doesn't fix the problem, apparently Nissan engineers are gonna come down and see what the deal is, but we've all already heard the whole "Nissan engineers are enroute" debacle, so I am not holding my breath. At least they are trying to fix the problem, which was there from day 1.

By the way, it pulls HARD to the right on any road, not just highways, which we know are slightly slanted for runoff. Give me a block (between stoplights), and from a start in the left lane, my car will easily be in the right lane by the time I get to the stop light at the end of the block).

No mine doesn't. For those that say yes, do you have 18" Wheels? Also what model is yours?

I started a thread just like this because I did not see yours.

Check it out, I have the same problem but my dealer thinks it occured during the shipping!

They are going to fix it, (new part because it is aluminum), new tire and another alignment.

I have a performance with 3000 miles, and it has pulled slightly to the right since day one. It's not too bad, so I hadn't planned on doing anything about it. I'll probably wait to see how the first set of tires wear and get it checked out at that point if required.

they tell me today that it is not the "knuckle arm" but just the tires.

They plan on replacing only the tires to fix the problem.

If it is just the tires why do all of our problems only go to the right?

I mean the pull? Why wouldn't some Z's pull to the left?

as soon as I put in the last post, Mossy's service manager called to tell me that the reason it only pulls to the right is the unidirectional tire. The front tires are supposedly not molded correctly so the car pulls. (only to the right)

The Dealer is supposed to get me two new front tires and do a four wheel alignement to see if that fixes the problem!@

I am not so sure about this. I think there is a deaper issue.

For those of you with the cars pulling to the right:

I was brainstorming this after reading all the posts. What kind of mileage was on the cars when you bought them? I'm wondering if maybe the tires wore slightly unevenly if the cars were tested on a Nissan track... just a thought... lemme know...
