Default anybody else wish the Z came in dark silver?

why is it that the Z does not come in a dark silver color. this is by far my favorite color for a car. i just saw a dark sliver vette on the way to work. i feel like the Z is one of the only sports cars that does not come in this color. even my mini cooper s that i traded for the Z was dark silver (not saying the mini is a sports car). yet the Z comes in 3 different silvers that pretty much all look the same. i ended up getting the silverstone. it really is a hot color. and on an overcast day it really looks nice. but in the strong sunlight i am stuck with a plain old tinny silver car. i love that low profile of the dark silver. nissan even has it for the maxima and altima, why not the Z. forget horsepower, if nissan ever makes the dark silver available for the Z its trade in time for me. anybody else feel the same.

i just don't understand nissan's decision to completely overlook this color for the Z. especially since they do offer it in their other models.

Isn't Silverstone a dark silver? Or is that not dark enough for you?

not even close. here is a picture of dark silver. it is on a mini cooper s. dark silver is almost black. but it has all the advantages of silver. like showing no scratches and not need to be washed everyday. it really is a classy yet agressive looking color. i see audi tts, porsches, vettes, rx-8s, and bmws all in this color and they all look great.

I think he means a more solid dark grey that isn't silver during the day.

those of you that have seen it know what i am talking about. its about 3 times as dark as silverstone. just go to any car manufatures website and "build a car". you will see that dark silver is offered on most cars. for example go to bmw.com and look at the colors on a 3 series.

I love the silverstone color, but I think when the time comes for a respray, I'm going to go with BMW Steel Grey. It is by far the best grey I have seen. Here's an STi in that color: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/476631

i agree the bmw steel gray would look amazing. but since a gray like that wasn't offered silverstone was the next best thing.

I also wanted a dark silver when I was looking into the Z. I ended up getting the SS but would of really liked a "gunmetal" color option

Ditto, was really hoping for a gunmetal color. Had it on my last car and loved it. I also wonder why they (nissan) would make 3 similar silvers. Silverstone is still pretty nice. I especially like the way the car looks on a cloudy/rainy day. However, under the sun, kinda looks exactly like chrome silver. Especially in socal, not many rainy/cloudy days here.

You guys are acting like just because the color exists, it should be put on a Z. Even if Nissan only used the colors it had on all of it's other models, they'd still have to release about 30 different Z's every year, which is just ridiculous. As far as other colors go, I think we need a darker blue, some sort of green, and a lot more before they consider finding another silver.
