Default Best place to report a bad dealer experience.

Where would I go about to report an ill fated dealer experience? I bought my car this past weekend, long story.

I'll post more details about it later, but I'm going to report it to Nissan first.

If someone can show me where to start, that would be great!

Hate the dealer, love my Z !

Well, I kind of like to read about those kinds of things right here. I've certainly written plenty about OC/LA dealers that either tried to cheat me, or treated me well in my time.

Are ALL Nissan dealers so high pressure? Its so frustrating. I wish it were like Acura. Its as if they could care less if you buy or not at Acura. They are so friendly and dont give you crap. If you wanna test drive, go for it. If not, ok fine.

Nissan... they literally rope you into their damned little office to screw you as badly as they can.

Thats the ONE big thing about Nissan...

i had a really bad service experience at an l.a. dealer and the service manager knew that i was going to report him. i emailed a letter to nissan consumer affairs, when i went to another dealership for some other type of service, my address had mysteriously changed to some off the wall address. hmmm

It totally depends on the dealership. For instance, Irvine and especially Buena Park totally tried to mislead me and ended up wasting hours of my time. Corona gave me straight up answers to all my questions, a good deal, and was so laid back I could have fallen asleep on the showroom floor easier than in my own bed.

When Nissan sends you a survey that's when you want to vent your frustrations. It will ask you about your buying experience. I always thought it meant nothing in the past but a neighbor of mine that works in the car business said it does make a BIG difference in whether or not the dealer can carry the Nissan brand. One bad report card may not raise eye brows but if a dealer gets a number of bad report cards then the corporate office gets involved. As nbdyfcnsqnc said, it depends on the dealer. I always had a great experience with my local Nissan dealer.

thanks for the heads up.

If the mods read this. I would love to have a sticky thread to show which dealers to stay away from.

800-NISSAN1 this would be NNA right?

It is almost impossible for a manufacturer to revoke a dealership franchise once granted. The factory can make life tough [punish]with allocations and color choices, auditing warranty work, slow reimbursement, floor plan difficulties, ad money etc.

Your states franchise laws are tilted substainally towards the dealer to protect his investment.
Compliants are best directed to the franchise owner about how they ran you away and you purchased from his competitor.

But the dealerships that sell the most cars get the most goodies.
