Default Here you go fellas - pics of my 24 hr old '05 Ultra Yellow (NO 56k!)

Went for a drive today in the Malibu canyons. Found a nice place off the road and snapped some pics.

Here is the basic side view -- note that the paint from this distance will appear flat:

Here are a few close ups to show the complexity and richness of the paint:

The apparent imperfection above is merely my crappy photog skills and the sunlight.

Notice from this angle -- the metal fleck disappears.

a butt-side shot:

Looking mean:

I have to say -- I totally love it.

My g/f and I went to a seaside bar (Moonshadows) for bite. Parked just down from me was a Fly Yellow Ferrari Modena. I am not saying my car looked necessarily better -- but my paint job looked a hell of a lot more rich compared to the flat (and swirlly looking) yellow F-car.

Shouldn't be any speculation or debate here. There is no question which of the two cars looks better, brand new paint or not. Regardless, the ride is looking good.

Silver SSR Comps (18 x 9 and 18 x 10.5) are on the way from Tirerack. I will be getting a Stoptech 4-wheel kit (red calipers and slotted rotors) shortly thereafter.

Except that only Liquid Alum and Ultra Yellow use a three-step paint. I cannot stress to you how rich this paint is when you see it in person.
