Default call the dealer, or wait till they call me?? to pick up my car

hey guys!! i finally found my car on the website of nissan and also found it in the website of the dealer. question is that should i make the call and ask about the car, or wait till they call me?? i dunno how it is gonna sound when a 16yr old kid is asking for a 30+k car. they might take it as a joke.
also, does it mean the car is on the lot when it is updated on my dealer's page or is it still in transit to the dealer?
thanks

I dropped by the dealer in person each day after mine showed up on Nissans web site. The dealer did not know (or so they said) when it was expected. I knew my car was on their lot before they did ('cause I was there when it was being unloaded before the dealer was open)

I then walked my car around. I saw the porter prepping my car wave off another porter who was coming over for a joyride, pointing at me standing 20 feet away. If I had waited for the dealer to call, I probably wouldn't have heard about my cars arrival until several people had abused it.

So, I would recommend at least calling the dealer, if not dropping by occasionally.

Call them everyday. If you were already given the VIN then what difference does you're age make.... you're only money to them. I assume you pre-ordered so they should already know who you are.

When it shows up on the dealers page it can still be in transit, but it shouldn't be long. Mine showed up on the dealer's site and, a couple of days later, a friend returning from Dallas spotted it on a transport about 30 miles from my house. The dealer is only a mile+ from me. I jumped into my wife's car when I got to a point I could stop what I was doing. My car was sitting 3rd in the dealer's entrance to his service area. My salesman was on the phone w/my wife while I was looking at the car.

Check everyday, tell them your car's in inventory there and DON'T let them drill holes in your front bumper unless your laws require it; you don't have to let them put on their dealership's name either unless you don't care. An e-mail stating your preferences now would be good. It's your car, your money and your preferences. State them clearly, but politely. With all the work you've done to get your own new car with your own money, you want it exactly right, tell them so like you've been doing it all your life. Polite, but firm. You are already a businessman with money to buy what you want.

Default communicate..........

You're getting very good advice. Communication is always better than just waiting to see what someone else is going to do.

My dealer would not let anyone touch mine. Period. It was in the back stowed away, preped, and then moved to the showroom floor 2 hours before my arrival. It was locked the whole time no one was even allowed to sit in it!

Oh, and by the way, give the dealer a call. 16 or 61, if you ordered the car they will treat you with respect.
