Default Well. I USED to have the nicest car on the block....

....my neighbor just stopped by with his Indigo Blue SC430. It's a rolling work of art. Attention to detail is...well, germanic. The sound system is awesome. The top drops in about 15 seconds. My Z was feeling pretty overwhelmed.

Dislikes....the exhaust sound is very muted and the wheels were not my favorite.

It's a much bigger car than the Z. Wider, longer and heavier.

Default Lexus vs 350Z, No Contest Here

If the price is no object, may a Lexus or a Mercedes! For the money I love my 350 Touring, loaded! No regrets here.

Its a nice car, but more of a cruiser than a sports car. Now if lexus were to tune the engine to say oh, 400hp and put in a 6speed. Then we would be talking. I can think of a lot of true sports car that I would get before the lexus, even though it does look great. I'm thinking Z06 + a super charger. Thatd be about 60K. Too each his own I suppose. Not everyone wants to drive a race car everyday.

Default well... my opinion....

but.. your Z still has more style and grace than a car with a non usable back seat and bubbly looking lines.. Yeah I love the auto top too but.. look at the face... what does it say to you...

look at the Z.. its face says.. get the **** out of my way.

If you want to pay a bunch more money and live with the lost space and funky lines.. for a soft ride and appointments... Me.. I bought the Z for its looks.. handling ... amazing power..and fit.

I do not like the blue ... I love the Daytona Blue...

My opionion... like an onion.. layers and layers of BS hahahaha

It's a woman's car. Look at how feminine and voluptuous the lines are. There's nothing masculine about that car at all. I laugh at men who drive the SC430. It really, really belongs in the hands of a stunning, beautiful woman, not some jack-jaw, frat boy. Unfortunately the only women I see in one are hideous real estate agents with too much make-up and HUGE hair. He should have gotten a CLK55 Cab or a 996 C2 Cab.

BTW, when he breaks it in, whip his ***.

The SC is what my boss drives. He's let me drive it, and the Z is faster.

Yep...it does have the Levinson sound system. Very crisp, tight bass. Clean sound. Can't wait for my new Bose amp....TSB is going out to the dealers this week according to NNA.

It also has the Lexus Link. Lexus version of Onstar. But I agree with everything else listed above....

Yeah, they are kinda funky looking.

Sometimes funky is good, other times not so good. Verdict is still out on the Lex.

Don't worry you still have the nicest looking car on the block, that lexus is just a wannabe Mercedes SL. I can't stand those disgusting rims, even Buick designs better looking wheels. Looks like your neighbor got taken at the upscale toyota dealer for $60K+.

The Lexus is a grand tourer... so a lot of it's faults are forgiveable. And for 65k, it had better have at least a few good points in it's favor over the Z.

Regardless, those wheels on the Toyota have to go. Dude, they're nasty!

Where's his front plate? Noticed you had your bumper drilled.

Actually, I very much like the SC430. Actually considered getting one instead of Z. Then I realized just because I could buy a $55K-$60K doesn't mean I should.

Before I get flames about what else you can get for that price, let it be known now that I the SC430 and the Z were the only two ever in the running because no other car, for me, had the combination of power, looks, and distinction of these two.

Besides the money, I also did not like the SC430 wheels (a situation that is easily remedied), but also decided that I wanted a true sports car, not a luxury convertible.

I'm sure I'll be happier knowing I have a sweet ride AND money to go out and do things more often than if I spent more often than if I had bought the pricier Lexus...
