Default 2005 Z 35th Anniv. "What's New"

Well, I did a search, and didn't find anything that actually had the specs from nissan for the "What's New" on the 2005 Z, so if this is a duplicate I'm sorry. If not, read on:

P.S. Sorry if the images aren't too readable, I had to shrink them in order to get them to upload.

If anyone can help me get a better quality image posted, let me know (640x480 is just too small)

Key points:

Well it's not much, but at least it's a solid 300hp now and redline is raised to 7000rpm. Which I see as purely a marketing strategy ... which one would expect after a few years of being out there.

I just wonder what internal engine components they "strengthened", and how much does a variable valve timing control system for the exhaust camshafts give you?

Correct me if I am wrong: Do I understand correctly that the Anniversary Edition will only be available in "Ultra Yellow, Black, and Silverstone"?

- What about Chrome Silver!?!?

I know, Why 3 colors for anniversary? I't would be so nice in chrome silver IMO thats my favorite z color.
Although i do wonder, in the Nissan 350z ebrochure the 35th anniversary z image is in a very light silver (chrome silver - liquid aluminum ish) compared to the track and touring colors to the left of it.

Nissan should make chrome silver for 35th.

Question

Absolutely!! Because of the very shinny-silver on the e-brochure I was sure the Anniversary would come in "Chrome Silver" now that Liquid Aluminum has been discontinued.

Now I am thinking the Nissan Art Department just phoshopped a [2004 Liquid Aluminium Touring] and pasted the "Anniversary rims" on top.

- Come on, look at that picture and tell me that's not Liquid Aluminium!-?!?

Nissan, are you listening!?!?!?!

"These increases were atchieved by modifying and strengthening some internal engine components and adding a variable valve timing control system for the exhaust camshafts"

SON OF A *****!!!! What internal engine components are they talking about here? V.V.T. on exhaust too!

Pegs. Shocks. Lucky!

Jeff,
It is generally believed (and extensively discussed in other posts), that they will incorporate the "S1(S-tune concept ENGINE Spec1)"

I'm actually most excited about the new side view mirrors with expanded viewing width. I can't see for sh*t in this car, and it's a matter of time before I change into a lane that's already occupied or run over the neighbors' kid while trying to back up.

300hp...eh...that's only 13hp more, and won't amount to much. I'm sure the Z will be dead even with an SRT-4 now, so who cares. :-)

You are absolutley my buddy on this, If they are making it only in 3 colors, WHY make us hurt and show it on a chrome silver/Liquid alumin-ish, seeing that 35th anniversary edition in a color that we love, and thats not choosable hurts!
Nissan. PLEASE be listening and reconsider

But, you guys are all missing the point...the mirrors, man, the mirrors!!! Your blind spot is going to be reduced from H2-size to Scion-size. Now THAT, my friend, is something to get raving excited about!!! You will no longer be playing Russian Roulette when changing lanes!

Nissan, please get you act together.

Either get "Chrome Silver" as an available Anniversary Edition color (as you display it on the e-brochure), or you'll loose the buyers like me who will go for Tracks instead.

I bought the Austrailian drivers side mirror.

It was worth every penny. I can see my rear much better.

Warning:

Since it distorts things, it takes some getting used to.

I've never lost to a stock SRT-4 at the track. In fact its been a pretty good beating each time.

A well driven Z coupe should not lose.
