Default Break in period

I just bought a 2005 Z (Automatic) and was wondering about the break in period. There is always a lot of debate on whether to follow the factory recommended break in or to break the car in the way you intend to drive it....any thoughts....preferably technical. Thanks

Well Mr. Enzo . . . I highly suggest you use the search feature before you get flamed to death. FYI the veterans on this forum aren't big fans of questions like these but no ones blaming you. I think Nissan suggests under 4000rpms for first 1200 miles but do a search and you will find more comprehensive answers.

I was told by a reliable dealer/racer on this forum that the motors are fine from the factory and to run it hard from mile 1. So take that for what its worth.

As for me, vrroooooommmmm all the way!

Read your manual. It just makes sense to follow what the guys who make the car tell you.

i agree with brickyard. go with the factory reccomended breakin of 1200 miles. i think the engineers that designed the car know it best
