hey guys i just took some realllly horrible low quality pics (until i get my camera next week) and my friend just posted tehm up on e46fanatics.com. this was just a friendly post. but these guys just really dont like our cars. some guys are cool about it, but they call US the cocky guys? why dont you just read and see.

E46 M3's are sweet rides... too bad most of the owners seem like asses. Reminds me of a joke I heard somewhere (Most of the M guys seem to live up to it):

"What's the difference between a BMW and a porquipine? The porquipine has the ****** on the outside"

 

oh ya theyre beautiful, especially some of the cars on that site. but ya that joke is def true. my friend however is soo chill about that stuff. his car is sick and so is his system. they just have no respect for other cars that have the potential to rape them in looks and in performance. dont get me wrong, no flaming, i love the e46's but have respect for all cars....what do you think of the rims btw?

 

Who cares man...your Z looks sweet and it's fun as hell to drive. That's all that matters. Don't let these clowns get under your skin and just smile as you pass...

i know a few e46's and they're cool. i'm sure this goes to all of the diff. car brands.....sti, evo's, camaros,.....some are cool, some are cocky.

 

I know most guys i've seen/met with m3's... aren't too too bad... i've noticed it's usually the guys w/ the 323ci's that are the worst... and sometimes the guys with the 330ci's but i don't see it as often as the base model owners

 

[opinion] If it doesn't say M don't waste my time. Don't get me wrong, the 3 series is a nice car for what it is. An entry level luxury car. But talk about the Honda Civic of luxury cars.

Now the M3 on the other hand, that car is pure freakin sex. I would take an M3 over a 350 any day. I'm just not interested in being car poor. [/opinion]

As far a owners themselves there are plenty of a-holes driving every kind of car out there. All the 3 series owners (minus the M) are gonna think the Z is a lesser car since they are both in the same price range but picked one over the other. Same with the Z owners. Same with every other freakin car out there.

 

i say we ban all contact with that board and all its members. Every other post on that board is of them dissing us. jealousy to the extreme

 

there are probably less Zs on teh road then m3s let alone 3 series in general. Can someone double check that info?

Unfortunately, there are far more Z33's on the road than there are E46 M3's. M3's are concentrated in some areas (i.e. Newport Beach/Costa Mesa, Irvine, Rancho Palos Verdes, Villa Park, etc.) but they are relatively rare cars compared to the 350Z.

Geez, I saw 9 Z33's today and I've got a pretty short commute. Z's are everywhere in the Southland. I heard Vegas has tons of 350Z's on the road as well.

 

yea thanks for in input guys. my friend w/ the bimmer is def real cool and doesnt compare apples n oranges. but some guys just are annoying haha. wejust wanted to show our crap quality pics haha. oh btw anyone interested in those rims? i have hundreds in stock, plus i have some other ones w/ a flat lip. different kinds of styles, theyre new german wheels. well not so new in europe but like here in the US. those damn M cars man, what can i do to run w/ those cars? not the convertibles the coupes. ran a few convertibles, good stuff...any comments?

 

The reasoning behind the attitude is simple psychology. They aren't called "status" symbols for no reason.
The problem is when people reach the affordability plateau, some kind of belittling switch goes off and rednecks and retards become uppity snobs.

 

I think the younger crowd driving these cars ruins it for both sides. I see the "kids" driving daddys Z with windows rolled down thinking they are pimps.

Also I like how the guy didnt lie and say that was his house in the pics, like most peeps do on here.

I can drive five miles down the road and take pics in front of "Primetimes" deon sanders house and say it was mine, his and tom cruise's summer home, troy aikman etc....Gotta love west plano....They hardly even live in their homes, just the maids. The movie stars use the homes for tax purposes most likely.

 

Yeah, i noticed a trend of wannabes on here lately, pretending that they own this and that.

My aunt went on a trip to LA recently an told me she saw so many Z's down there. Where in comparison in canada... and specifically where i'm from, the Z is a pretty rare car... there's actually more m3's around where i'm from then there are Z's.

But you're right... some of the younger crowd do ruin the image, i know of/met a few local Z owners... one particular who owns a red ZR, lets his young daughter drive it now an then, and when she's behind the wheel, that thing is dangerous to be near... top down and zippin in an out of lanes like a maniac... but when you run into him driving it, it's a totally different story.

 

That too, this site has a lot of trolls now, a lot of "wannabes".

 

it's completely different around here. i only know of two modded z's that i've seen in this area even, but i ussually only run into 1-5 z's in a day. anyways, can you pm me some info on those wheels? ( price, size, specs, lip size, ect. )

 

also, i am only 18 years old, but i do give a good name for our z community. don't think that everyone that is young disrespects their cars or their power on the road. i do understand your point though; some people are just plain stupid.

 

The people who own them are complete oposites in personality. BMW folks totally driven by Prestige and ego image. Z folks are more esthtetic & performance oriented.
Both great cars! but the BMW not worth the extra unless you have lots of disposable $ Mny just go in deep hock for the prestige.

 

There is one thing the E46 has us beat in definitely, and that is it's TSB list

 

Total BS. I just migrated here from e46fanatics and currently own an E46. There are some serious performance oriented BMW owners there, and one could argue that they're even more so than any other marque except for maybe Porsche owners.
