Default Is Twin Turbo coming out or not?

Saturday, we went by a Nissan dealership to look at a 350Z on the showroom floor. After talking to the dealer about the car for about 30 minutes, he starts telling us about the convetible that's coming out, then he says, "they're coming out with a Twin Turbo one in two in a half years." I haven't heard anything about this, but I doubt it's true. Can someone confirm this?

I don't know, but I'd like to see one. The Z has been called a japanese Corvette, I'd love to see it with a 350+hp twin turbo.

I've heard the Japanese corvette thing. It was on the cover of a car and drive or something like that for a year in the Z31 era, if I'm not mistaken.

About the Twin Turbo... that would be awesome if it were true, as well as t-tops.... I would pick one of those up in two and a half years no problem. The likelyhood of it happening... probably not, especially if they release the new R35 (unless it has a V8 and is a totally bastardized car). There is no way that Nissan would announce now that there will be a Twin Turbo model now, it would hurt sales significantly. If there will be a Twin Turbo model, they will have to keep it under wraps as long as they possibly can. You never know... maybe your dealer has some connection, but most likely, no it won't happen. We can only wait and see, though!

this could be wrong, but I have a feeling nissan doesnt know what their doing in 2.5 years, theyre not so sure about the convertable in 1 year. so if there was gonna be a TT, I doubt theyve even considered it yet.

on the otherhand, I highly doubt it. they would slaughter the NA resale value, and jack the price of the Z up to never never land. which is exactly what their trying to avoid.

Just hang around a bunch a Vette owners and you will get that plus "it's not a Vette" or "Vette wanabe", believe me I lived it the other day at weekly get together down here where there all kinds of cars and they are the biggest jerks.
