I like touring personally, however if you want a manual, dont get an automatic, youll regret it later. this is very important, if you must wait a while till you can get closer to what you want.

if it helps any theres a silver touring manual here in GA for MSRP.

Nav with delivery in February.

The automatic concerns me in the Touring Model as do the 17 inch tires.

The cloth seats concern me in the Performance model.

I can get both for MSRP (the Touring Model ~32K and the Performance Model ~30K)
Why are you concered about the Automatic, 17" tires and cloth seats? Do you want a manual? Do you want 18" tires? Whats wrong w/the cloth seats? I think you need to be a lot more specific about those three areas of concern before I or someone else gives you any feedback.

Whole heartedly agree. 17" isn't bad, cloth seats are fine plus there are dealer installed/aftermarket leather seats. Paint color importance is different for everyone, but they all look good IMHO. But auto versus manual is a BIG difference IMHO. Considering your concerns, I'd wait and get the one you want to your exact desires. You may even find the one you want sooner than you think.

You have to figure out what you want most in the car and go from there. From what I've heard (I can't tell you for sure either way), the 17"s have a smoother ride.

And I personally chose the cloth over the leather, I think it looks great. And as for the tranny, that's really more about personal prefernce--the car doesn't have the raw power to make that much of a difference in a race, but in an auto, you've also got that (what I like to call) "cheaters standard."

Another problem is there's no way to garauntee a February delivery if you order. You might get it in January or much much later.

Good luck whatever you decide, and, of course, let us know!

and this is where I begin subjective opinion, so take it with a lot of salt.

leather seats are sweet, I have them, I love them, heated seats will be nice in a month or so. cloth seats, also nice, but they arent leather, I have also always had leather, but they are both fine, its not the normal cloth tho, be aware of that, its a woven cloth, not like a short fiber type thing.

auto vs manual, well you should know the simple joys of running it through the gates. but other than that, differences are minimal for normal use, but if you want to pull out the full potential, maybe take a turn at 45 mph in second and floor it out of the turn, you will need a manual.

17inch is gonna be smoother(more sidewall) but 18 will offer better handling from a performance aspect(thats what the cars about right?)

as for color, black is a PITA, but there is nothing like a clean black car. and dont think white isnt the same way, except when its clean, its still white. silver will cover dirt like you wont believe.

good luck

Enforcer - love the picture of your Z. Is the white easy to maintain and is the pearlescent paint obvious. I don't want any thing that looks flat.

I just talked to the dealer and he is getting in a manual white Touring model with every option on Friday. I can get it for 37K.

I didn't really want to spend that much as this will be my secondary car. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee that I will split time with.

The impracticality of this vehicle is amazing but I have been itching for a sports car since I last drove a sports car (TR7) in college.
Good for you! That's what I paid, MSRP. Yes the PPW is pearlescent, but it is not real visible on cloudy days. In the sunlight though, it's awesome up close. And no orange peel, I've had two others look her over stem to stern (people like me that have painted and know what it is) and we cannot find any. And the dealer did not touch it, only a wash, no polish and no wax. I don't know if it's luck, but hope you fair the same. Easy to maintain once I put Mother's Pure Carnuba on it, including the wheels. I just drive into a car wash and hose her down. You won't believe the brake dust. It coats the side of the car, not just the wheels on a dry day. Once you wax it, it comes off real easy with just the spray wand. I keep a micro-fiber cloth handy to wipe off stubborn bugs. What color interior?

I also have a Jeep, a 97 Cherokee Sport, but the 350Z has possessed my driving lately! Yeah yeah I know, it's not a need thing, it's a desire thing. SHIFT_your desire!
