Default Escort G-Timer GT1/GT2

Anyone have any experience with either of these two? I'm considering ordering one since they've dropped in price to $99.99 on the Escort site.

How accurate is it and does the LCD screen in the GT1 look fine or should I go for the GT2?

I have the GT-II model....it is very accurate, but you have to be on flat ground, like the track. I did 3 runs @ a real 1/4 track while setting my G-timer, my 60ft's and 1/8 and 1/4 where all within .1 or less, it is VERY accurate. The weird thing was it was reading like 1-1.5 mph lower on trap speed than I was trapping. Example-it said 101.5 trap, I was trapping 103 that day...I suppose its better to go under a little, than to read 5mph over like GTECH's do cuz they measure terminal speed at the end of the 1/4 not trap speed(average speed last 60ft of track)...Get one its cool to play with, and if you have a V1 it uses the same power cable.

Do you have to be timing yourself to set it or does it work fine OTB?
