05 base Z:

- softer more useable clutch
- fixed feathering, window motors, window grease, problems from first model year
- tire pressure monitor system
- wider side view mirrors
- front power outlet under passenger dash
- better "nav" storage door
- seat belt extenders
- upgraded interior materials

Get the 2005.

Looking at our dyno, our torque indeed drops off after 4200rpms pretty sharply. If they had 260tq@4800rpms and then kept it at 250+ until redlime... BEAST!

Sidenote is that the M3 has 333hp and 262tq. The torque is lower but the car can skool us. Because it has more usable torque to it's 7900 REDLINE!

Where did you get this informationa bout the feathering being fixed? I plan to purchase a new car in less than a year and am only holding back from the Z because of the feathering issue.

TSB will fix feathering with a simple front-toe alignment.

yeah, but i've seen numerous complaints of the feathering reoccuring after the TSB realignment.
