I thought I didn't get traction control with the enthusiast...

same column for all vehicles. Just like my base has the cruise control light but I have no cruise control.

Not sure what you mean by SLIP LiGHT but TCS is standard equipment on the Enthusiast Model.

Enthusiast has TCS but not VDC.

I tried gunning the car through a turn and a light in my dash started lighting up "SLIP" or something like that.

I thought that was something only on performance or above, I guess I was mistaken.

SLIP lights up when TCS kicks in.

What he said...all the Z's come standard with traction control. VDC is only available on the standard transmission Performance, Touring and Track models.

Base does not have TDC (or LSD).

can tcs be turned off or only vdc? wuts the difference?

vdc can independently brake wheels to correct a skid. TCS is more or less throttle control; if it detect loss of traction it just cuts throttle. VDC can do what TCS does and adds the brake functions.

you can turn either off on their respective models.

On my 2005 Enthusiast -- the slip light came on when I spun my tires on a hard 1-2 shift.
