It was hectic for sure, and not everyone heard the instructions before we left (ex: don't park in the teardrop). It needs to be easier next year for sure!

That's for sure. Luckily, Dave and I had our 2 ways on and tuned it to the appropriate channel. It was funny telling everyone to 'Step away from the cars!' then letting them know it was time to go. 'Old timers move it.' Of course, it was in my best voice.

You guys did a great dam job, I was on top of the dam the whole dam time. I saw that as the dam orders were issued, I could see the dam crowd below react accordingly....fine dam job!!

Hey Destiny, I see the mods that you're going to do to your Z next. It was nice to meet you and your mom. See you next year.

Manny
Mods? what mods... there are no upcoming mods on my list (crap why didn't I take that off sooner) Everything on my upcoming list is a big maybe right now, I'm not too sure what I direction I want to take my modding after seeing all the neat-o stuff everyone else has!! So you really don't know what I'm going to have next year! I want that trophy!
It was nice meeting you and your soon to be wifey! Z you two next year for sure

I thought "Oh ****" but he was totally cool. Never even asked for my license or anything, just said you gotta be careful on these curves(Like no ****!) and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Granted, he did not see it happen but I get the feeling those TN boys would have found something to make me part with a bit of cash!
I've lived all over the states, but have spent most of my time in NC, CA and TN - Grew up driving in NC. The NC troopers don't put up with any S**T, but they are pretty cool as long as you haven't been totally stupid. I was SO disappointed in the stories I heard about the TN troopers. I personally saw them in full attack mode that was not necessary on at least two occasions.

I can't get a cruiser to keep people from driving 70 MPH through my quiet Nashville neighborhood, but just drive over 30 on a deserted twisty in the Tennessee mountains and your *** is grass.

Tennessee is a very cool place to live - but Tennessee traffic enforcement is a joke.

Just an FYI For those of us who have to call:

General Sessions Traffic Office number has changed to:
(865) 273-5450

Pretty tricky, issue a ticket then change the phone number...

I'm proud to say that when I rode with you, not only did I not get nauseous, but I never even grabbed the oh sh*t handle!

That's about the best Dragon video I've seen, Bini, thanx! Too bad, though, that we have to listen to that Stook engine whine the whole way!

Oh, and please note that LG and me are waiting for you at Deal's Gap.

Brian,
That was about 6/10s. It was still a little nervous with those new brakes. I'm calling for a re-match.

Brian H, definitely go for the rematch Bryan S is offering. If he was driving 60% you did not get the full experience and can make no claims. I've ridden with him doing 100% or damn near close to it in both his Lightning and Bini's S2000. Not saying you'll get sick, but I guarantee you will be hanging on to something (hell handle, window frame, seat, whatever) and likely begging for mercy.

I'm not too proud to say he scared the **** out of me (figuratively only) riding in the S2000. His normal driving style coupled with the fact my mind knew he was driving a car he was not very familiar with pushed me over the edge.

Ahem, My days of driving other folks rides are over. Just means I have to drive the truck harder for more thrill.

I hope you now realize why I was so nervous on the S2000 ride. Despite the higher center of gravity, I'm much more comfortable in the truck knowing you drive it almost every day.

Dont let one bad experience keep you from trying new things.

I counted 12 Tennessee Troopers camped out at the end of the dragon Sunday afternoon as I was leaving towards Maryville

YEP! Those are the same guys who were coming out of the BP Station in Maryville at about 9:30 AM Sunday at the exact moment I was pulling in for a refill. I almost hit one of the bike guys (his fault - looking backwards at one of his buddies while entering a VERY busy roadway).

Rumor had it that the trooper base that was set up at the bottom of the Dragon would be there continuously throughout the weekend. Definitely not true. The whole ride was clean with the exception of one bike cop. These guys spent the night with their wives and/or boyfriends.
