Default Anybody know if Denso is a Nissan Supplier?

I've got a relative that has worked for Denso (formerly Nippon Denso) for quite awhile. They are a large auto part manufacturer, that sell parts to various manufacturers. If they are a Nissan supplier, I could probably get in on the Nissan discount on either a Z or a G35C.

It just hit me that I might have this connection. I probably am not lucky enough for it to be true.

I'll ask him in a day or two. I know he is eligible for the Daimler Chrysler and Harley Davidson discounts, and I know they make parts for several of the Japanese companies as well.

Google is my friend.

Looks like they at least make <a href="http://www.denso.com.my/products/engine/sparkplugs/nissan/nissan.html">plugs</a>.

Sweet. Gotta investigate more. Those may still be aftermarket stuff.

From what I understand, Denso is not the major supplier for Nissan (anymore). Calsonic is.

I found out today, they aren't suppliers at all. Oh well.

I knew Toyota owned 25% of Denso, so I didn't get my hopes up TOO high, but it would have been nice to save $1500 or so.
