Default 1/4 mile times

Just wondering if anyone has been to the track yet and if so what times did you get? I really do like the style of the Z350, just wondering if the performance is up to par of the look. I know they are some serious handling machines, just wondering about pure power.

Thanks

Well, here in Honolulu, my best time for the 1/4 mile was 14.6 at 98+ MPH. Mileage at the time was 1300+ miles. Conditions were 82F, >60% humidity. 1/4 tank full. No weight reduction. Tires were at stock PSI.

Default Go is fun!!

I've posted this before, but with the 5spd Auto, I turned 96.5MPH and 14.6 seconds. First time ever on a strip and I did not really load up the trans. The TCS was still on so I did'nt leave any rubber on the strip. Talk about fun !!

Beat a modified older Malibu, no idea what was in it but it was loud and sounded strong. Twice beat a 540i, but I guess we should do that without even straining.

The shifts were amazingly crisp and I did bounce the RPM limiter once.

I'm sure that it will do even better next spring...can we top 100!
I think so.

Keep on Z'n Still jumpin for joy!!

Very impressive times folks!!! 13s are but a small step away. I wonder if they have already started making aftermarket parts for the 350Z, if not I am sure they will soon.

Reynolds is so freekin far haha. Shoot, so is Commerce from my house. I was spoiled living in orlando. We had two 1/4 tracks only minutes away.

IS there ANY quicker way to get from newnan (exit 47 on I85) to reynolds?

Last time i went across 16 to I75........then allllllllll the way down. Then back over towards the wee tiny town of Reynolds.

Can i go DOWN 85 and over?

Thanks

Fantastic time! What rpm did you launch at? Dumping or slipping the clutch? Tire PSI? Any weight reduction? Conditions at the time? Power shifting?

Thanks

After checking out the map the best way would be for you to go to Griffin and then head south through Zebulon and Thomaston straight into Reynolds, check this out http://maps.yahoo.com/py/ddResults.p...Get+Directions

Read my post above...This weekend I turned a 13.90@ 101 with my base Z. I had to roll it off the line to get a decent 60'..Spinning the tires I had a 2.5-60', while rolling it off the line I had a 2.2-60'
My rear tires were at 30psi....

The Z is definitely a great car. IMO, once you guys get some more miles and the engines start to loosen up mid to high 13's will be the norm. Remember a good 60 ft time goes a long way to running a quick quarter.

eh...i may be wrong, but how do you get a 13.9 at 101mph with a 2.5s 60 ft time? if its true, thats some serious top end power....anyone got a drag calculator around? i know they are hnot eh end all be all, but a good sanity check
it'd make more sense if it were off teh run wehre you had a 2.2s 60 time...
am i reading your post wrong?

Well, having raced my buddies 350Z and driven it as well, I can tell you these things PULL at the top mph ( 80 - 100 ) He must have made up a car length on my 360R when we were drag racing.. that just goes to show what they pull in bone stock.

Heheheh, I think you read it wrong. He achieved his 1/4 mile time with the 2.2 60ft.

I ran a 14.28 with my 2.5 60' and I ran a 13.90 with my 2.2 60'. Does that make more sense???. I was trying different ways to launch. Obviously, Some were better than others. I think I can pull a 2.0 60' if I had a couple of more trys.....

Question

So who went to Reynolds this past weekend? I was there Friday afternoon and didn't see any 350Zs. Anybody show up Saturday?
