hey guys, remember the Z with Vin#1 that was on Ebay back in 2002? All i remember was Track, Silverstone. Anyone has any information of how that car is doing? Does it get any special treatment from Nissan?

it probably has some serious tire-feathering, window-streaking, gas-tank-not-filling, axle-clicking, transmission-grinding, seat-wearing, window-unoperating problem.
other than that, it should be ok.

If I remember, it was bought by a Nissan dealer in the Seattle/Tacoma area. He also had the last 300ZX to come off the line and was going to have them side by side on display in his showroom. Anyone in the northwest know anything more??

I see it everytime. It still sits in a showroom at Performance Nissan in Everett, Washington. It's for sale for $97,000. The last 300zx is there too.

I believe it has a sticker price of $95,000.00. The car has less than 50 miles and it hasn't left the showroom since. It's a 96 300zx NA coupe.

They don't seem to use VINs in Japan. I've looked at an imported Skyline before and it had a label w/a substitute # for a VIN w/a really short #. I don't have the pics on me handy right now though.

They must have a different standard for car serial numbers.

They're in Everett? Hmm...time to make a trip with my camera.

$95k sounds a little high for an N/A.

I'd pay $80k tops.....but that's just me.

Gulp! I wonder why not $100,000 . I had a new 300ZX from 1990 until 1995. It was the irridescent yellow - a 2+2 with the T-tops - leather seats, bose and all. A much roomier car -longer - but handled and rode ever bit as good as the 350Z . I had it to 125 a couple times - really hugged the road and felt very secure. The one time was on a old 2 land cement highway outside of Coolidge, Az. My, how the fence posts flew by !!

For correction - the first 300zx was a 1995 - not 96

Mcduck, mine was also made 06/02, but only has moderate tire-feathering, plus a bit of window-streaking. 47K miles on the odometer!

Mine is #288 and i'm starting to get CD's skipping, had the amp replaced a couple of times, window streaks fixed. No tranny problems, no unusual tire problems or noise although i am taking it in for the free front alignment TSB to see if my fronts are off.

Man are you daring. No feathering and you want them to mess with it. I wouldn't. If it ain't broke don't let them break it.

My 2004 Roadster is in right now getting the tires replaced. I took it in 4,000 miles ago, they did the alignment and dismounted the tires. Now the other side of the tire is feathering. I guess they did not do the alignment right the first time, or the car is just a big piece of sh**.
