Default warranty work?

Okay, so I'm at about 22,000 miles now. I think I have to get the trunk latch spring checked out, but I also noticed a couple of other things, and was wondering if anybody else has seen them.

1. TPM sensors seem to be giving out after about an hour. I had a problem with one of the sensors when I first got the car, but it had been replaced. Now, I can't dirve more than about an hour without a sensor blinking out, which causes the warning light to come on. The car itself is fine, but that warning light is annoying.

2. Steering column indicatorss don't work. The headlight/turn-signal stalk and the wiper control stalk usually have those little indicators that tell you which position it's at. Those indicators no longer light up. Not cool.

If others have seen this, then it's probably pretty easy work. And if it's going to take time to take care of, I might just leave the car at the dealership while I'm on my trip to Asia.

Yeah, the TPS units in the wheels are battery powered, it's not surprising that the ones in the '03s are starting to go, even though they're supposed to have something like a 5 or 7 year life-span. That SHOULD be warrantied.

#2, definitely warrantied, but no idea how difficult that work would be. could be wiring, bulbs (LEDs?) or other elec. issue. potentially a real biatch.

I don't know what you are talking about here. I don't remember anything on my stalks that light up. I thought you just gotta know what position they are in if it is dark.

Kel, thanks. I think #2 is probably a fading backlight bulb. Probably non-LED, since LED's are supposed to have pretty long lives.

Tut, the indicators are the little squares that tell you, on the left, if you've got no lights, parking lights, or headlights on, and on the left, what speed your wiper's going at. They normally light up when you turn on your headlights.

Um I don't believe I have that either!

I'm going to check right after work.

Yeah, I think he is crazy. I wouldn't even look though cause by the time I found out what notch it was at, I would crash, haha.
