Project 350Z almost done
Well we have not finished our project 350Z ...yet.
So far we have a Daytona Blue Performance Model,
Added...
Deep Tint
Expel Clear Bra
Custom Kadskin Blue/Black Leather
We Cross drilled the rotors
Painted the Calipers High Gloss Black
Waiting for the Enkei 18's to arrive to check the offset...
Toyo Tires 275-40-18 R 245-45-18 F
More to come
Pics after SEMA... picking up some more goodies
SHE will be for SALE in ten days...price$$ ??

Did you get cross drilled rotors, or you actually cross drilled them. If you cross drilled the stock ones, how much would that cost one of us to get done?

Yep, you're correct. X-drilling the stock rotors only ruins the structural integrity of the rotor. Once those rotors get hot in the wet or in the freezing temperatures, they will crack.

we have never seen cracking..
one of our maxima's has 30,000 miles on them..
We use the Stock rotors with no miles on them, we have templates and we have our speed shop drill them...
cost is about 120.00 to 200 per rotor.
Drilling rotors is one of the worst things you can do. The main reason is that you lose a lot contact area between the pad and the rotor and surface area used to dissipate heat to air. And yes structural rigidity is compromised. On the track or even on the street, failed brakes can cost you your life, not just $120-200

What about cryo treated cross-drilled rotors like Porterfield offers?
By the way, I'd think that if the drilling was done properly, it would INCREASE integrity by allowing flex, etc. But I'm not sure about extreme temperature changes, so I wondered about the cryo-treated rotors. I had them on my VR-4 for over a year and they were terrific.
