Default Factory window sticker?

I just bought a very lightly used (1000 miles) 04 Touring from a private party. Where can I get a copy of the original factory window sticker? Does Nissan or a dealer have the ability to print one out using the VIN?

It is required by LAW in IL tha the dealer provide you with the originlal "monroney" sticker. (aka window sticker)

Dealers do not have the ability to re print those sticker (or they would f**k with the price)

I'd kindly communicate your request to your sales manager., if he says know simply asked for this suppervisor. I'd try to find out if CA law requires them to give it to you.

Stupid dealership dropped the ball of professionalism if they didn't provide you with a window sticker.

He purchased private party.. not from the dealer. Ask the guy you purchased the car from.

A lot of times during the "dealer prep" of the car, they remove those and throw them away. Some dealers keep them and provide them to you. Over the years I've bought cars that still had them on the window, put in the glove box, under the seat. The one for my Z came with file of paperwork for the car.

My dealer gave the window sticker and I had to sign that I got it.

I bought my car new from the dealer without a window sticker. Dunno, it only had like 20 miles on it, they claimed they lost it

Every Z Roadster I looked at was missing the window sticker -- my guess is that they went to put the top down not knowing that the windows went down. My sticker was stuffed into the glove box, but it was ripped to shreds.

It is the big label in the window of most new cars that shows the options, trim, MPG, etc. as well as price.

A dealer is required to provide you with a window sticker. If the car doesn't have it, don't buy the car. If you do want the car, demand a sticker. If you can't read the sticker, demand a new one that you can read. They must provide the sticker.

I went through this with my dealer. It took over 3 months for them to get me my sticker, but they did. It costs $50 or so, so I had to pester them repeatedly for it. It was their fault for throwing it away.

Yes, you can buy one for yourself. Call Nissan customer service and ask them. You may be able to buy one through a dealer as well. It's not cheap, but it's an important document about the origin and trim level of your car.
