Yuri go get the ox and cart, tonight we celebrate our victory over the Americans. Free cheese for everyone!!!
GM discovered a problem with the six speed tranny in the C6 early in production. Know what they did? That's right, they stopped production on the C6 until the problem was fixed. Even stopped production on auto cars as well. Seems to me the General was stepping up more on their part to provide a quality car than Nissan is.

I agree with you... Nissan dropped the ball on the feathering issue, no doubt about it. My car didn't have the problem, but many did. They should have found found the cause, and nipped it in the bud.

You're on a Z site, however, and to tell everyone how much the Z (and Nissan) sucks and how great the Corvette ( and GM) is is just plain stupid. What's your motive? To make everyone here feel bad about owning a Z? To get back at Nissan? To get more people to buy Corvettes? To tell eveyrone how much smarter and cooler you are because you have Vette now?

Go to a Vette site so you guys can jerk each other off and do your Z bashing over there. You just look like an idiot here.

You just need to buy the car you really want. Don't have any expectations of after sale service, warranty or otherwise.
Somtimes it comes down to the individual dealership. My last car was a GM product. With two chevy dealerships where i live one dealership had shitty customer service while their cross town rival had one of the best service depts ive had the pleasue to deal with. Unfortunately the nissan dealership that i got my Z from is showing signs of a less than stellar service dept.

Default The owners speak out

I ran across something interesting this morning - the April 2004 issue of Consumer Reports. Three cars were rated "Better than Average" for reliability. In decending order - Honda S2K, Mazda MX-5 Miata then Nissan 350Z. The Z's score was about +35%. The #9 car, the bottom of the list, the worst rated car - the Chevy Corvette. It was given a -45% rating. Keep in mind that these are based on surveys of the owners of these makes of cars.

When you look at the historical data, the Corvette was rated "Worse than average" for every year since 1998 except for the 1999 year. I doubt there is any reason to believe that the '05 will rate any better than it's predecessors.

I'm glad to see that the Chevy commitment to quality is still there.

So today the wife and I traded the 350Z track in on a C6 Vette fully loaded. IMO it makes the Z feel like a Camry. So thanks to Nissan for the improved car I now own and congratulations on NEVER selling another Nissan product to my family again.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Go see if Chevy will replace your tires when you wear them down in 7,000 miles.

I think he probably got a stick since he had a track before and a Z06, but since he cares so much about tire wear, I guess he doesn't race any of them on the track.

Yeah.....I was just kidding really. I thought referring to her as "the wife" was kind of tacky.... like "the dog" or "the car." It's interesting what you can learn about somebody in their subconscious behavior and attitude.

If the tires were worn cause we were out at the track that would be a different story. They should not be worn because I drove it to work and back for god sake!!! Don't be retarted.

Maybe you should take your own advise. "Grow up and quit assuming things about people you don't even know just because it fits your simple minded scenario."

Oh BTW - Nissan did finally call me 13 days later to tell me to contact the dealer, that they will put different tires on the car to "fix" the problem. I didn't even bother to tell him it was too late. I will continue to post to this forum because I loved my Z and I hope that Nissan will do justice one of these days. For all the nice people posting on this board I will keep everyone updated on the C6 and GM's customer service. It is the first year run so I am hoping that there are not any issues, but you never know. For all the HATERS - find something better to do with you time. When I first joined this forum everyone was really nice, it's sad to see that there are bad apples in the bunch.

The problem with this thread from post #1 is tact. I understand the frustrations but you wouldn't go into the "hood" yelling racial slurs either. It would have been one thing to say Nissan customer service "sucks" and you had problems but do not degrade a sports car by calling it a "Camry" and think you are going to get away with it. This is a Z forum, what did you expect?

The solution to the world's problems. If only everyone could drive a C6, then they would understand. No more terrorism, no more famine, no more hate.
