basically, it's Phillips bulbs, harness, etc.. and i think the exact things from Xenon Depot.. cept the 6000k HID doesn't cost 600 bucks. These are the prices: 4300k for $220. 6000k for $260. I say that's a damn good of a price for HID kits. I believe the group buy starter needs 60 people to get this price from his gf's dad who gets these things imported or something.. so just read the thread.. Pics are in the middle of the 1st page. Well anyways... the more the better. Now base members can be just like the enthusiast, track, touring, and performance! hehe 4300k is i believe the HIDs for the 350z so they'll be alike.

Note: for those of you that do not know... the higher the degree goes in Kelvin, such as 8000k HID's.. the more purple they get but the visibility goes down. The lower... (near the 4000's K) the brighter they are, but more yellower and whiter. 4300k i believe is the closest to daytime sunlight (or 4100k i forgot). I would say if you want a blue/purple tint, then get the 6000k cause visiblitiy is i think 20% less than the 4300k. Not much... your choice.. good luck

Okay first kbomb, it works for any car. Just look up the bulb #.. for example : h4, h7, 9005, etc. and then when you install the HIDs, it'll work.

SvR350z, in order for you to get HID's on your car, you need to get HID ballasts and wiring and bulbs, because they're a different "system" than halogens. It's very easy. There is a write-up of the HID install here somewhere just do a search but basically, you put two "box" looking things (very small) in the car, and hook up the wires to the battery, and then connect the bulbs and there, you got HIDs. About generic headlights.. i don't know what that means, but if you're talking about aftermarket HYPERWHITE bulbs, don't waste money on them. Hyperwhite have LESS visiblity than stock lights. It seems like they have more cause they shine off lighter on camera, and off white walls.. but no ones ever shined them off a black wall right? hehe the pavement is usually black, not white, which makes it hard for you to see with hyperwhites. Note: more colorful bulbs have less visiblity. Purple<blue<white/yellow (best) .. well that's all
