Solidly nay. I've driven a few SMG cars (not a lot) and without exception, there was always a slight delay between clicking the paddle and the transmission shifting. Some SMGs don't even let you go to redline, it will shift by itself.
Paddle shifters, autostick, tiptronic, yada, yada, all lead to the same thing: people who want their cake but refuse to learn manual transmissions.

The un-bright one is you my friend.. Thanks for a once again new attempt at being a tr0ll. You're great at it.

And.....about the QR25De engine.....
Yeah, they really listen.
You have some research to do, Junior.

I see we have a real mature person on this forum. No shi*t Nissan is not asking, but don't you think they have a MARKETING group? Marketing groups know about this wonderful, powerful tool...it's called the internet. And guess what...they know how to use it and search for key words...like "Nissan" and "350Z" and then they RESEARCH what people are saying about their products. Then they just might actually apply that DEVELOP those ideas to their design of their new products.
I find it funny that you intstantly resort to immaturity. You have no clue about marketing or how consumer products work pal. When you get 1 day of experience in a real world job...let me know. Then you might actually be able to have a mature conversation.

The only guy I know who likes the paddle shifters is an F1 driver, and the people he lets drive his cars that are equipped with the F1 style gearbox(F430, Mclaren SLR, and M6) say that they like manual better. The guy also has a CGT that he loves, but says in any traffic is a pain to drive because it's a stick. Everyone else I know prefers the traditional stick, although after sitting in the Mclaren and feeling the shifters/buttons I wouldn't mind trying to drive an F1 style tranny car.

I think that would be great. It would certainly make me more interested in getting another Z. It would need to be a good SMG, and not have the lag like the auto in the current Z.
