I does look shorter if you look at the shape of the window...our Z's have a longer curve to them while this one is more sharp...atleast thats what I see

doubt they would do that the 2dr altima fills the affordable 2dr catagory. I dont think it would make sense to make 1 car that would kill sales for 2 other cars in their line up.

Yes, the door is definitely shorter. If you look closely on pictures 1 and 2, you can see the vertical marks where the door was cut. In picture 5 (of 5), you can clearly see the cut in the roof line above the side window.

Yeah, I figured that out after the afternoon pics came out. In the morning pics it was hard to tell.

In this picture, compare the distance between the A and B pillar on the mule and the Red 350Z. The distances are very different.

BTW, Nissan Corp., if you're listening...please take some time and smart-guy engineering magic to make the next Z LIGHTER!!!!.

Thanks, if you're listening.

the new z is definitely a little smaller if you guys haven't noticed yet. That door and window look so small.

With the exception of the roofline I see a taped up 350Z! I must be retarded.

FINALLY, we see some sort of testing of the next generation Nissan sports car (other than the GTR). This is going to be exciting to follow...

I totally agree! Yes, the fact that Nissan is coming out with a GT-R to the USA is exciting but the fact is, most of us cannot afford or choose to spend our money on a car the price of the GT-R.

The GT-R might be a flagship for Nissan in performance but the Z is the car many will buy just due to economics. When Nissan builds the GT-R and we all go to see it in the showrooms, we might not buy anything if the 2008/9 Z is not a significant jump in performance over our 350Z's.

My prediction:

-The Z will have the exact same engine as the G37 with the same HP rating. (That only makes sense since the 07 Z has the same engine & hp rating as the 07 G Sedan)

-With its growing weight trend, as seen on both the G35 & 350Z, I'll say the base 370Z will weigh in at low 3400's with its higher end model at high 3400's to low 3500's. This is for the Coupe.

-Same brakes & calipers as the G37.

This looks promising. But Nissan doesnt seem to worry much about weight

.

^ Is it me or do the 4 cars parked at the bottom look like they're pasted in the pic; closer objects should be larger in relation to perspective (I'm comparing the z's)
