I am really holding my self back on this current gen Z from modifying it. I really want to, but I also want to wait for the next revisions in motor, weight and whatnot.
I originally wanted to get a GTR, but I feel the next Z with about an extra $16,000 put in to it would make it perfect. I obviously have no idea what the costs are going to be to mod the next gen Z but based of of liberal calculations of current mod costs I think $18,000 should display some great performance and better handling.
Question to anyone, how long did it take for Twin turbo and Superchargers to become available for the 2003 350z?

I divorced my wife for that one. So i don't think so depending on what kinds of transmission they have but most likely 6mt
Hmm.... $35k + $18k = $53k.
If the GTR comes in at $60k, it will be worth it to just get that.
However, if you want to mod the Z, you could always get a custom turbo kit right away. It shouldn't be a problem since it will probably be a VQ in one way or another anyway. Also, the 3.7 will be out very shortly in the G37, so IF (big if) they use a form of that motor, there will probably be some FI kits on the market by time the new Z is in your driveway.
However, the suspension will be a bigger problem if they change it (which they almost assuredly will).
In short, pony up to the GT-R if you can.

I hope its going to come in at this price point.... but due to demand and what i've read so far I think we are talking mid to high $70k range.
