Realistically, adding a turbo to an existing engine is a lot cheaper than designing a whole new one. Especially if you already have an award winning engine.

If anything, they'll use the new G37 engine and even turbo it.

WTF are you smoking? The body was designed by a crew in CA. So what? There are plenty of Z's here in Japan as well as the rest of the world. Claiming that it is some sort of American innovation is just plan dumb.

Some articles are saying that this mysterious black Z appears smaller.

Some articles say that it looks longer, and bigger.

Actually, it's the exact same Z. Do the editors really think that Nissan used a SHRINK RAY on the Z? Or tried to make it bigger than it already is?

If they just drop in the g37 engine, turbo it, and make AWD an option thats basically a GTR. Ithink a v8 would be ok but weird. If they go either way besides natural aspirated v6 it would be pretty pricey. I plan to buy a house around that time so imma just TT mine.

Okay, is it just me or does anyone else notice that these are the SAME, EXACT photos as those released for the "2008 370Z Mule?" I mean seriously...Its the same exact car. Its not 4.0L. Its not AWD. I like how you guys are buying into all the "ifs, ands, or buts" that this writer is babbling on about.

Pure rumour mongering. There has been SO much speculation on the next gen Z already. I refuse to believe anything until Nissan themselves actually have a car up for display at a car show, or make an official press release.

My opinion, though? They're not going to TT the next Z. Keep in mind that the Z32 priced itself out of the market here because of that. The Z33 was such a success because it followed a SIMPLE goal.... big NA power. I wouldn't mind if the next one came with a V8, as long as it didn't f*ck up the weight balance. All you ankle biters are slobbering over the custom LS engine swap into the Z by one member here, yet you're against this idea?

I don't see a new Z pushing signifigantly higher numbers. Look at BMW with the 335i electronically hindering it due to the fact it was owning the m3. Nissan would be doing the same thing to the GTR. I agree that in 2011 we will see crazy new Z after the GTR is no longer the new kid on the block.

Not only is this old news, but it's full of crap. The car was shortened, not lengthened. And they're talking about the hood bulge like it's not out yet.

That would be perfect for me since my lease is up then!

Blah, blah, blah. There are so many unsubstantiated rumors floating around. That car looks like the exact same shots we saw and read about with the smaller and shorter Z. These guys don't even have their basic facts right. The G37 isn't available with AWD- at least yet. It's rumored to be coming as an option but not available now.

What's with the weird cant on the sides and on the wheels of those photos?

2009 or 2011? 3.7, 3.8, 4.0L? V6 or V8? 370, 380, or 400z? Only Nissan knows the real truth at this point. I ain't believing anything just yet. Its pretty entertaining and interesting to see people speculate tho'.
